so you're calling moore a viable major leaguer now? and novoa has not come anywhere close to giving the cubs the same production farnsworth did from 2001-2004, which even includes a terrible year from farnsworth. and i never said it was a bad trade...like i said, it's a wash. farnsworth got way more money than the cubs would have given him, so he wouldn't be a cub now anyway. but novoa's production could be matched by any number of 100's of other guys. I believe we are downplaying Novoa's contributions. I do believe that he is a contributor and more effective then others in his role. And yes Moore is a "viable" major leaguer. In other words a player likely to play in the major league. Lo and behold he has. The guy is a former 1st rounder and is only 22. I would say that the Farns trade is edge Cubs considering that the Tigers got nothing for him 4 months later.
