I’d imagine it’d be similar to 04 Red Sox if you replaced the bats of big papi and Manny with Morel and Amaya.

I don’t know if it’s more amazing that our catchers have a combined .465 OPS batting 176 or the fact the Whitesox have even worse numbers across the board.

That’s the thing. Jamo, Happ, Suzuki, Cody, forget Swansons immovable contract are clogging the payroll. All these guys are a solid deadline addition on a World Series contender and nothing more. Imagine the 04 Red Sox minus Big papi and Manny. Mueller Millar Nixon and Damon are nice complimentary players. Jed trying to build around this caliber of players is a one of a kind team building experiment.

Screw OPS and strike out pitchers. Fill your rotation and pen full of sinker ballers with solid defenders up the middle. That’s the winning ticket. Phillies have no clue what they’re doing.

It’s piling on Jed more so than Dansby.

Not surprising. Braves are much smarter organization but if that’s the second highest offer Jed should be fired on the spot for that alone. It’s an overpay but that’s so ridiculous there had to have been a higher offer unless I’m giving Jed too much credit.

Correas a bad fit for Jed’s Cubs. Too elite. Discount Dansby and Jed’s preference for defensive runs saved in place of OPS was the clincher.

Our kryptonite headed my into the off season was a lack of reliable pen arms. What does Jed do to adress it? Sign Neris and manager who can better manage a pen with no reliable arms. The position players were shaky enough as is but no one could’ve foreseen this offense being so bad with RISP regardless of the $ pissed away on Dodgers and Yankees role players.

It’s a comedy act at this point. The outcomes are so predictable. Inability to pile on runs, wasting a gem from our starting pitching, and coughing up 2+ run leads in the 9th. All the ingredients for a jersey mike sub sandwich.
