  1. Such a shame this offense is being wasted by injuries. Time for south Bend Brown to develop anything that isn’t a 95 mph 4 seamer or an 88 mph knuckle curve..
  2. For a 40 YO Turner with a 540 OPS at that. Busch at worst would be a net neutral vs lefties at the plate and his defense alone gives him an edge over Turner.
  3. I still don’t understand why is a 40 YO Turner hitting under the Mendoza line a better option than Busch.
  4. Is Busch out with an oblique injury or does Counsel still refuse to give his every day first basemen abs vs lefties?
  5. Sick and tired of watching him labor through every inning and forcing the offense to put up a 10 spot to feel safe.
  6. That double play grounder was one of the hardest hit balls of the inning.
  7. You’re talking about his 94 mph fastball with a weird grip that he calls a changeup. If that counts as a third pitch, he needs a fourth one.
  8. This is an extra innings loss with Berti batting 9th. Encouraging to see Horton and Shaw make significant contributions in a win even if it’s the Marlins.
  9. 1-1 in the 7th inning in the final game of a 3 game set. So typical.
  10. Until Brown develops a third pitch he’ll never be a quality starting pitcher. If you’re a hitter you either sit on a fastball or curve ad wait for him to throw you a hittable pitch. He throws nothing that moves horizontally off the plate so as a hitter it’s easy to lay off pitchers on the corners, At 6’7, it’s a lot easier to pick up the spin on a breaking pitch too when it starts at eye level due to his height and over the top delivery. Siitter, cutter, anything. He’ll spend his career in the pen until he develops at least another pitch.
  11. Kind amazing how the cubs are third in MLB in homeruns while having only 1 homer combined from the second and third baseman through 47 games and counting.
  12. He needs to change his grip so his change up is more than 1 mph slower than his fastball. It’s basically a fastball with a weird grip.
  13. Yep. It’s literally their core identity. Such pathetic f****. Hope they break their loss record from last year.
  14. They’re the worst. Their core identity as a fanbase is hating the Cubs and bragging about their big, tough, “Southside”roots from their keyboards in Orland Park, wearing their 59/50 Sox hat backwards with the tags still on.
  15. I get sick, sadistic pleasure In beating the Sox.
  16. How long until Counsel moves Kelly down in the lineup? Thank you for April, time to move down. With your long overdue regression to your career norm.
  17. Nicky Lopez is having a bad day. He’ll be joining Wisdom in Taiwan pretty soon.
  18. They’ve had 11 consecutive 3 game series with at least one game of 3 or less runs and 9/11 with 2>. Only 1 win and that was the home opener vs the Padres.
  19. Unfortunately the Cubs basically turn into the Whitesox on Sundays and the Cubs bats so far have remembered what day it is.
  20. I know Tucker is in a slump and he’ll break out of it eventually but that $600 million figure floating around is ridiculous. No one his paying him that.
  21. Japan, Korea, it’s bad when there’s guys playing in Africa who you could argue would be a better option at third base then anyone on the Cubs ML roster.
