How much has his injury impacted this complete bullpen collapse? Obviously he has no impact on home runs, what he has control over is limiting baserunners and consequently multi run home runs. Their inability to win on the margins can be the difference between an extra out here and there in addition to missing Nico’s gold glove defense at second base. Am I being a prisoner of the moment?

It’s shocking that the bullpen went as long as it did before imploding.

Without Swanson the defense went from historically great to very good. Very good won’t cut it with these arms. There’s been a number of outs left on the field. Maybe I’m overrating him? They’ve blown, 4 3-0 leads and multiple 2 out 9th inning 4-2 leads in a span of 11 games. In their last last 8 non shutout losses, they haven’t scored under 4 runs and are scoring at a 4.75 runs/game clip

We’ve got positive reinforcements coming. Edward Cabrera is on a rehab assignment and was demoted from the rotation.
