  1. Dudes, there is a law of averages. Just like when you're out fishing. Somedays, your girlfriend won't let you go. OTher times, the fish are biting chartreuse jigs. You just don't know. When Rusch's average laws smooths out, he'll have some good starts. It'll be like Jimmy Houston Outdoors. Signed, XOXOXO Dusty PS: Glendon casts, i mean, throws with his left hand.
  2. bwhahahahahahahahahahah post your favorite cardinal excuse / statement in this thread. I can't wait to talk to my Cardinal friend(s) tomorrow :)
  3. i wish you suckas could have seen the barrett jig i just danced in the living room!!!!!!!! i scared the cat. . . . . .
  4. Turd Burglar Morgan: Ramirez is a free swinger He's not as patient as Lee Can the guy read an [expletive] stat sheet?
  5. I'm out there and I'm lovin' it!
  6. bwhahahahahaah. nope, not commando (usually).
  7. hate to dissapoint, but there's only boxers, boxer briefs, and a jody davis record. How it got there? I really can't remember. I just know that I don't want to move it because it's so safe and secure there.
  8. In Dusty We Trusty! maybe not
  9. most important stat: The cubs have a .750 winning percentage when J'acques J'onzz starts.
  10. I have a 45 of that song in my underwear drawer. That sounds pretty weird, eh?
  11. If you guys weren't impressed with Maddux, you must think Suppan is the worst pitcher in the NL.
  12. I sat in the front row in RF, right behind the green door. There are places on the field you can't see. It's just one of those things. No big deal, really.
  13. When I sat in the bleachers last season, I had to pass by the smokers every time I went to the concession stand or to the restroom. I hated it. I'm not anti smoking. I'm just anti smoking around me :)
  14. Denkinger should throw out the first pitch.
  15. holy crap! the cubs won't go 162-0
  16. I had that problem last year. I used an old version of real player and it worked okay. Now, I can't even access websites with sports related names. . . . . .stupid work firewall!
  17. Keep rattlin' dem pimpin' sticks, y'all! 4-5 will be DLee's day to shine ---- 2 homers and 5 RBI.
  18. Jones hit the ball hard a couple of times. The ball that went over his head was gonna be a double regardless. However, if Murton keeps mashing like he did today, JJ will have to move down to the 7 spot.
  19. is 112 pages a freakin' record? Looks like the Bear's D was just too much for the Bengals. Great job, coach Ditka.
  20. Dee Lee thee Em Vee Pee was our 6th hitter in last year's opener, so things can sure change (for the better). I like JJones, but I'd really like for us to havea "sure 'nuf" 5 hitter. I'm talking about a guy that will hit 30-35 homers. Not too many of those guys out there, but it would be nice.
  21. Savage lineup! The Cubbies are coming tra la tra la!
  22. It's these sort of moves that royally screw up my Cub roster in my MVP Baseball season ;)
  23. step 1 http://www.newsday.com/media/photo/2005-04/17041456.jpg Step 2 http://www.prosportspictures.com/images/mlb/chicago-cubs/2005/05-todd-walker-action-1-sm.jpg step 3 http://www.sportsposterwarehouse.com/warehouse/wrigleymarquee04cos-1.jpg
  24. What do you call this? http://mlb.imageg.net/graphics/product_images/pMLB2-1469581reg.jpg Baseball Bat? NO It's a pimpin stick and we're gonna whip it out on the Red Stockings!!!!! The Cubs open their '06 campaign in the home town of Dr. Johnny Fever. Today's game will be the first "W" in at least 95-100 in what is surely to be the greatest season Chicago baseball fans have ever seen! How about we start this shin dig off with a some predictions. Bhogg's bold prediction #1: Juan 'gone' Pierre will lead off the game with a homer. If you're gonna dream, dream big! Bhogg's bold prediction #2: Todd Walker will get 3 hits, including a dinger. Bhogg's bold prediciton #3: Zambrano will take a shut out into the 7th! LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!!! http://www.xhaven.net/prismaticlabs/Downloads/KramerThePimp.jpg Donkey Kong, Baby!
  25. This season reminds me of some of the late 80s / early 90s teams. There is potential. There's not a whole lot of pressure on the team (always pressure on management). I truly hope this is one of those years where we, as fans, sit back and just enjoy the ride --- wherever it may lead. Look at it this way. If they set the league on fire, that's a good thing. If they don't take off and play great, Dusty will run the risk of getting the boot, and there aren't too many folks around here that would call that "bad." Good things will happen this year, Cub fans, good things will happen. Oh, and I'm takin' out my pimpin stick and leading the first game thread, therefore the Cubs will most likely go 173-0 this year. Better call your bookie now.
