  1. So he'll hit .305 instead of .330 :) Eyre: knee contusion: day to day Lee: sprain of right wrist: flying back to chicago tomorrow per Brenly
  2. Dempster is my favorite Canadian. . . . followed closely by Anne Murray.
  3. oh, and Aramis, quit opening up your hips / shoulders. . . .
  4. Aramis is pressing a bit. . . .. too anxious. Let the game come to you, big fella.
  5. can they cure wrist injuries? i'm looking up a good faith healer as we speak The voodoo tibedeaux woman from down 'na bayou can cure wrist injuries.
  6. If I were the ump, I'd have given the runner third base.
  7. If you look at Todd's stats, they look more like 1B stats. This injury will help the club.
  8. I bet DLee is fine. Eyre on the other hand, may not be so lucky. he had no push off the mound and didn't even throw a pitch.
  9. I think he's fine, but I think since everyone knows its the Cubs, its probably gonna be amputated. Furcal probably gave DLee a virus. DLee will be out for 6-8 months.
  10. looked to me like Eyre should have ate that one. . . .very tough play.
  11. Seems like a tough spot to have a guy make a debut. Was the bottom of the order up when Aardsma came in?
  12. Dude, you seriously only use 3 squares? I yank that **** out and use like 50 squares for extra finger protection room. I ain't getting any of that crap on my fingers!! This is why you'd make a terrible manager ;) Can you spare a square?
  13. heck yeah. I got row 22 bleachers and SRO for June 2 and 3.
  14. If dusty takes a crap and uses only 3 squares to wipe his rear end, will we complain that it should have taken only 2 squares?
  15. So when the opposition hits our pitchers, it's due to sucky pitching. When we fail to execute at the plate, it's due to our sucky hitting. ARam will be fine. He has a decent enough eye, makes good contact, etc. He's slumping. It happens. Not to sound dusty-esque, but last night was one of those "tip your hat" kind of performances.
  16. His pitches have incredible movement. I haven't seen him pitch like this (for the cubs) since '92.
  17. i thought he played just fine in '04
  18. With his approach, hitting 5th might not be a bad idea. He's not going to get himself out, so throwing him junk will do nothing but put him on base. You could keep Walker / Hairston hitting 2nd, put Barrett 6th and Jones 7th.
  19. the pirates win the pennant! the pirates win the pennant! oh my god, the pirates win the pennant!
