    Yet, some yahoo on XM radio was blasting the cubs a few days ago because their road record is "abysmal."

    That 84 team had Sutcliffe and he had never done anything like he did in 84. He was good, but no one thought he'd be that good. Scott Sanderson was above average. Ditto for Eck. Steve Trout wasn't bad, but he was far from great. I think the 08 Rotation is better.

    I've watched the cubs since '84. Dear God, I've had some gut wrenching times. However, when I watch this team, I get that same feeling like being 5 years old. . . on Christmas eve. . . . you know something really good is going to happen - you just aren't 100% sure what it is. I've never experienced this as a Cub fan. Sure, it might blow up next week, but dangit, it's so much fun right now. We really need to stop and smell the roses --- enjoy this for the moment and not get too wrapped up in any negative stuff.

    '88 Topps, if I recall :) I think the Hawk led the league with 16 GWRBI and I thought it was cool. . . . . I was 10 years old.

    Why must hendry be so dumb? Murton would be a great 4th outfielder. Honestly, I'd rather have him than Ward simply because Ward is a huge liability in any role other than pinch hitter. Pie was producing at a Jim Edmonds level. This is not hard to figure out. Dump Edmonds and let Pie play. Rich Hill could walk 15 batters per game and still be worlds better than Marquis. DFA Marquis and let Hill be the 5th starter.

    51-30 at home and 41-41 on the road would be nice. We could do better at home. . . . .could do better on the road as well.

    I agree. Kerry has hit about half as many guys as Marmol has given up hits.

    What ever happened to making a guy clear the fence for a homer? It makes no difference how far away the fence is. Over the fence -- homer. Not over the fence -- not a homer. This should be easy. Minutemaid Park is stupid --- 10000000% agreed.
