  1. If the 15/16/17 teams went into a slump like this, they would call some sort of a team meeting and get it together. I've yet to hear any reports of this team having one of those "team meetings" where they yell at each other and figure it out. They seem content being a wildcard team
  2. Seiya to LF, Mo at DH and IMO the Cubs get better. They'd never do that to a vet like Happ but the truth is, the Cubs need a guy that can spray singles and doubles and I'd already take Mo's bat over Ian's
  3. I wish Shaw was at 2b, Nico at SS, and Dansby someone else's problem. All dreaming aside, Shaw has been the story of the 2nd half.
  4. The Red Sox traded Devers and were looking like obvious sellers a month ago, and now they have 1 less win than the Cubs lol
  5. And then they'll win the 3rd game in a blowout against some AAAA pitcher and some on here will tell us how great they are lmao
  6. This team is starting to remind me of that lifeless 2020 team that got swept out of the wildcard games by the Marlins
  7. They've been playing .500 ball for like 2+ months now. But I'm sure the next time they win a game you'll remind us how great they are
  8. The Blue Jays have acted more like a big market team than us the last 5 years. They went hard after Ohtani, after Soto, and will certainly go after Tucker. Inexcusable
  9. People would rather have a guy that has a sick baseball savant page than a guy who has a career 3.3 ERA
  10. Oh yeah I've already accepted that will happen lol. They are perfectly content just getting into the playoffs and putting fans in the seats. They don't actually care about winning.
  11. I still want to see them get in. You just never know what can happen in October. This team is definitely better than that Marlins team that won it all
  12. We're seeing what happens when this great offense can't carry the team. They don't have enough talent elsewhere to make up for the offense not having a good day
  13. That would be a nightmare.. I still expect the Dodgers to win their division though
  14. On the bright side, the Cubs will likely play Milwaukee in the NLDS if they advance past the wild card, and that will basically be 5 home games. It'll be fun to watch Brewers fans crying if they lose that series
  15. PCA and Horton being developed into possible superstars is enough for me to think Counsell is a great manager. The talent is just not good enough, especially in the rotation and bullpen
  16. 2 weeks ago I wanted the Cubs to use Brasier more, now he's a doofus
  17. I really hope Tucker's recent play can be explained away by an injury because he does not look like a 500m player, or a 400m player
  18. This guy has an ERA north of 5 and the Cubs can't do anything
  19. anybody else tired of seeing the umpire kid. I get it, it's cool, cute, adorable, whatever and whatever. But why are they talking about it every half inning lol
