  1. I agree/ I think Ballesteros' bat has a chance to be special. What he's doing right now at his age is impressive. I still have some hope he can stick at catcher and play 1B but the bat is what will carry him.
  2. I'm team buy at this point. I think this team can still win the division. Get into the playoffs and anything can happen. I'd rather watch competitive baseball the rest of the year because I don't think we need to sell the farm to have a shot. Do I think this is a WS team, no, but baseball is weird sometimes.
  3. I'm actually not a season ticket holder. My brothers, father in law is and he always notifies us when he gives us tickets. I'll ask him for you
  4. Just want everyone to know that I told Miles Mastrobouni "good luck" at the July 14th game during the season ticket holders autograph session and ever since then he is hitting .363 with his first career HR. I'm taking credit for it
  5. They should just give him CF if they trade Belli
  6. The way Hawkins was talking about him earlier in the year makes me think that the Cubs are extremely high on him and think the bat is special.
  7. good news hopefully he isnt sidelined too long
  8. Yeah. I'm not a fan of that either. Just think Apple does a pretty good job with what they get. I did not. Doesnt surprise me though.
  9. I think I'd do all these but PCA for Cease would be a tough one for me. Love Cease but PCA's floor combined with his ceiling makes him hard for me to give him up when he should be a core piece for the next decade or so. That's also personal preference for me. Finding a CF with his floor and ceiling combo is tough to do imo. It would suck to lose Steele but there is an argument to be made for moving him and I really like the pitching talent we have coming up and we have a ton of offensive holes everywhere. I think I would try to get Westberg over Mayo though since I think Westberg has a better chance of sticking at 3B.
  10. Yeah. I'm surprised by him getting overslot. His stuff is great but I was unimpressed reading about him and watching some of his scouting videos. Dude has no clue where the ball is going to go when it leaves his hand. Hopefully the pitch lab can get that right. To my amateur's eye, it looks like his release point is all over the place and lacks zero consistency. Right now, he screams reliever to me but obviously you keep him as a starter as long as possible.
  11. Law seems to be the only guy that didnt completely forget that Alcantara was still super young for his level and hitting a in cold weather environment for the 1st time ever earlier in the year. I still have PCA ahead of him but I can argue with Law here.
  12. Really? I love them. I think their presentation is great.
  13. I havent seen Gato post on a forum in years. Damn
  14. Was gonna miss your posts. Thank god there is another place to gog to now
  15. not a bad point. They have a lot of interesting prospects though
  16. Id take anything the Orioles and Rays will give us for Stro or Bellinger. Id prefer bats that are closer to the bigs over pitching since I really like our pitching talent coming up and this years FA crop has Stro, Nola and Urias in it.
  17. Thanks for the welcome! Hope to see some of the PSD folks here and to talk to some new Cub fans. Didnt even realize this place existed haha
