for reals. none of the a's hitters are all that scary. chavez is better than he was earlier this year, but if you look at his numbers, he's really not that great this year.

thank god there were no runners in scoring position or he would have CHOKED this proves that adam is good at C&L but not RISP meaning, statistically, he's only half clutch. the cubs need someone full clutch. no thx to dunn we could still use him as a bat off the bench, for late inning situations with no one on base offer up wellemeyer and grieve, see if the reds will bite

The A's just completed a 4 game sweep in Texas. At 53-45, they are tied with Twins for the Wild Card lead.

Pudge will be a hall-of-famer, but it won't be because of the great season he's had this year. .295/.305 is a freaking joke. Vlad is .306/.360, not the same at all.

hmmmm.... did this post contribute anything at all? The only valid argument I see above is the walk issue. The rest is poorly thought-out garbage. If you were attempting a joke, I don't think making fun of people with physical handicaps is that funny at all, nor is your buddy mispronouncing somebody's name :? you may not want to read his posts anymore or mine including this one -

Do you see him getting a chance in our outfield next year? Not at all. This is the Cubs. He'll be stuck behind Murton, who'll be stuck behind lackluster veterans and sitting the ML bench. : ( -
i just wanted to quote this and say it was really good and that i read it, since it looks like no one else did. um, ok. i guess you should read my posts, b/c it looks like you didn't. i did say that injuries could have caused the regression. we don't really know as Kearns hasn't been 100% or has been platooning. too few data points means you can make any argument you want about Kearn's BABIP. unless the injury kearns sustained was blindness in one eye, and we have reason to believe his vesion is about to come back, i dont see how one could argue that it's reasonable that he's going to get that line drive percentage up to where a .370 babip is a good bet

im too lazy to do this, but if we can have anyone we want, my bullpen is going to be all starters with maybe a couple exceptions, so that when my normal starters get hurt, i have backups

what is that pitch that morris keeps throwing? 76 mph, breaks down and away from lefties, occasionally down and in? looks like a weird really soft 2 seamer or a scuffball

If they add anyone, I imagine it'd be someone for next year as well as this. This whole run they've been on (something like 34-13) makes you wonder what would've happened if they hadn't had half the team die and then go 1-30 (or thereabouts) in May.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but if you pitchout 1-1, it almost guarantees the squeeze at 2-1 unless you are trying to walk him. I was just going to say that. If you pitch out on 1-1, you better just do it again on 2-1 and 3-1.
