  1. that's clearly now what he was saying at all. he's just letting you know that suggesting that he doesn't understand anything about statistical methods is somewhat silly.
  2. I concur. I think he would have to have been drifting back with the pitch to make that catch. yup, im watching the replay of the game on comcast right now. the only way you can fault soriano on that play is if you think he should've been positioned 15 feet deeper before the pitch.
  3. Well done, Jinxy McJinxerson argh i think im about done watching the cubs this year. i'd be so much better off, it's a real double whammy seeing the cubs do badly and the cardinals do well, especially when both teams are about the same.
  4. hopefully dye poisoning
  5. the greys suck, let's do something cool with them i vote grey with pinstripes
  6. if we go with the standard put forth in your first statement, i'll gladly be okay with racist statements being shouted at me if i can make that much money.
  7. in fairness, isn't all of the whole "have all of your internet friends vote 35 times each" a way of rigging the vote too?
  8. : ( that's really bad luck for him. poor guy.
  9. very nice. will carroll has been mentioning some stuff like this, but not in such a straightforward article that it'd be easy to quote and show to others.
  10. i think al pacino delivered the pregame speech for corpus christi. they've got a little energy so far.
  11. shouldn't we run with guzman and try to get something out of him while he's healthy? this seems like a no-brainer. he's probably going to get hurt again, let's get as much value out of the guy as we can before that happens.
  12. i love how much brian randle looks like danger mouse
  13. They should definitely foul Pruitt every time he's in the post. i can't believe that hasn't already happened
  14. He's a little long winded today but Plesac isn't bad. He took Scott Eyre under his wing when he was a young pitcher... he's told this one before. He mentioned it about 2389407123857 times last year. Plesac's an idiot. An idiot? Wow, I don't mind him. He's just trying hard... no, he's definitely an idiot
  15. this story about scott eyre is the most boring thing i've ever heard why is he talking about record players why is he still talking at all why why why
  16. with quade on his knees over there, i thought we had wendall kim coaching third base again
  17. has plesac had a comment that last less than 45 seconds? i say no
  18. hopefully this is due to some type of highly contagious disease
  19. he looks like aramis there
  20. it's hard not to get excited about a non-terrible team in the nl central. look at us! if your team can conceivably throw up 85 wins, you're in the mix.
  21. if the cba really allows this type of thing (trying to get draft picks by offering arbitration and then just cutting the guy if you end up getting stuck with him), it should be changed. pretty unfair.
  22. i could see arroyo by himself allowing 30 more runs than he did last year. same innings
