If Esquire had all this information before, and didn't report on it, weren't they in on the devil's bargain? If it wasn't worthy news when they knew it to be true, then why is it worthy news now? Too many times "journalists seem to go with this "I knew all about this, and it disgusted me" bit. Journalists are so in bed with the people they cover, afraid of losing a source by reporting anything, that it cracks me up to see them haw hawing at other journalists covering their asses. my thoughts exactly. either run this stuff out there in advance of events and deal with the consequences, or shut up about it altogether.
