  1. 2 on, none out would be a lot cooler than 2 out, none on
  2. when i said i didn't see how russell would get into a game that didn't go into extra innings, i forgot about games in which the starter gets pulled in the second. my bad, sorry guys.
  3. Weakly hit balls are still a risk of turning into hits. 10% home runs, 20% walks, 10% strikeouts, 60% contact is always going to be a recipe for bad. 60% is great if you're getting popups. there's no reason to look at this in a vacuum when we all just saw what happened. maybe the game looks different on a 15" computer monitor, but zambrano was fine besides the hr that inning. throwing the ball over the third baseman is not fine.
  4. Your pitcher faced 10 batters. He walked 2, struck out 1, gave up 1 home run and allowed six balls in play. That's not 54.00 ERA bad, but it's bad. that's a weird way of saying he got six guys to hit the ball weakly
  5. I don't have it on TV, but all I'm reading is single to shallow OF, single to shallow OF, single ON A POP UP. Looks to me like he walked a couple gave up a big HR, and got dinked and dunked. that's exactly what happened. it'd be cool if he didn't walk the leadoff hitter, but the home run was really the only bad thing that z did in the first.
  6. if we pull zambrano every time he gives up one hard hit ball, he's going to throw 41 innings this year
  7. zambrano mad, no more contact the rest of the game
  8. derek lowe is terrible, everyone but stupidiano hit the ball okay or better that inning.
  9. same. what the [expletive]. this doesn't make any goddamned sense.
  10. i choose to believe that the tiger woods stuff bumped the early games and the cubs are going to be on my tv in a few minutes i will be very sad when i am wrong.
  11. i'm pretty sure i've never not been able to watch a cubs game on espn before. what the hell is going on?
  12. espn and espn2 are both showing espnews for me right now. does this mean i'm going to be blacked out of the cub game?
  13. $1,000 fine for missing station ID= almost $20,000. I almost make $100,000,000 per year with this math. That's for missing it once. If you have inexperienced DJ's who don't know the seriousness of playing them and thus you miss it multiple times you can rack up a huge fine. The FCC will fine you for each miss if they happen to be listening and they can sit and listen for weeks counting each miss. There is no protocol to my knowledge. But none of this happened. but you could imagine what it'd be like if it did
  14. Broncos have been holding out for a first rounder for him. What did Boldin get traded for? A first rounder? I would have liked Boldin better and he didn't get crazy money once he signed. If they released Brown to go after a top flight receiver, I would be happy. But from what I have heard, the Bears are comfortable with their receivers. And that is exactly the problem with the Bears' front office. You would have liked Boldin better than Marshall?? i think he meant as a friend
