  1. the pirates staring into the distance at the cubs team they simply shall not avoid http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-SPEzCR_CERA/UWhGbGjO5UI/AAAAAAAB4-Q/yVSeFG4wjsQ/s400/serious+man.gif
  2. they also had actual good stretches, which the 2018 cubs have literally never done #caseclosed
  3. don’t you horsefeathering do it duke. abstain. you start that thread and we lose 20 in a row.
  4. Not nearly as bad as packing into the horsefeathering red line. I normally walk 3 blocks down to Sheffield's for a beer and wait out the traffic. Takes 30 minutes for it to clear. Sheffields has become my default post game walk. Well, it became that like 20 years ago and still is. NISEI LOUNGE
  5. i updated the thread title to reflect the 2:20 start earlier and now to indicate the game is tomorrow wow good work tree extra helping of nachos before bed tonight for sure
  6. welcome to gam thread i am treeburd cubs are finally playing some good ball glad the nachos worked and now we can move on to something else just kidding we will never get enough
  7. welcome to gam thread i am treeburd cubs did better weird coincidence return of the snack (there it is) just kidding not coincidence nachos rule all come with me if you want to win
  8. could've just pulled up these... http://thedirty.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/braun.jpg damn nick kroll got handsome
  9. welcome to gam thread i am treeburd cubs did bad again probably because no nachos in clubhouse due to fear of schwarber relapse bad news boys it's the only way to win
  10. morrow pitched in the 17 inning game when it wasn’t a save situation. i’m very confident that quote about save situations isn’t meant to be taken so literally. i think what he was really saying is that morrow isn’t going to be a fireman coming in to pitch the eighth and ninth or really on back to back days ever. which is fine! if we are only going to get one inning out of morrow, though, it should would be nice to have it be an inning that actually takes place in the game and not only in joe’s imagination after the cubs score a run in the top of the tenth.
  11. hopefully maddon has a good pajama or animal day soon to cancel out all his bullpen incompetence
  12. Why wasn't he available this time? cubs didn’t have a lead
  13. if morrow can’t pitch when we need strikeouts we shouldn’t have signed him.
  14. i was thinking about sullivan throughout this whole post. he is great in a lot of ways, but he is a major proponent of poking fun of people who read too much into early results but also goes crazy himself with one start of release point, spin, movement, and velocity data.
  15. the sopranos gifs are model trains, not a cause of but instead a mere trifling distraction on our path to our imminent demise.
  16. on the plus side at least it was generally boring and only rarely even slightly fun
  17. he also made Rizzo play first base right handed to get the double platoon advantage
  18. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME IVE SEEN THE horsefeathering RALLY BIRD THHHHHOM BRENNAMAN CLIP THIS GAME
