  1. what kind of crazy?
  2. i think it's a real meatball thing to do. if cutler didn't go down, the team would have made the postseason twice with martz in charge of the play-calling. i don't understand the martz hate at all, you'd think he was jon shoop or something.
  3. Cubs lost to the Expos but my dad spotted Harry Caray coming up the stairs and stepped out in front of him and I got to shake Harry's hand.
  4. It took a little while longer than i expected
  5. you already are wrong no matter what happens. And i have your boring, non-vulgar username to remember that fact. As far as Wilken goes, its hard to say what hd may do. I wont be suprised if he left, but I dont think Theo would promote a guy just to not have to fire him (isn't that from a Friends episode?) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk What is this? weren't you the one who went on about how not even the secretary would keep her job and if Wilken or Flieta lasted to opening day you'd change your name to "raging anus" Maybe I've confused you? 6. i don't know about that. wilken wants to be the director of amateur scouting somewhere, he wants to run a draft. to a guy like that, the only true promotion is to GM or that fake president tag Theo holds. he may have gotten a nice little raise, theo, jed, and jason may respect him a great deal, enough to give him that raise and keep him around. but he simply wasn't respected enough to be retained in the position that he was in. That's some backward-ass logic right there, Sulley. The fact that they promoted him out of his old position means they didn't respect him? Reeeeeeediculous They took him out of a decision-making roll because they didn't want him making decisions. They gave him a nice new title as an advisor, along with a raise because they like him, value his opinion, and didn't want to lose him. That's not such a crazy idea.

  9. the problem is, when i am right, no one will remember.
  10. You realize "Wilkens" just got promoted right? And Theo waited to make these firings for a reason. He obviously saw value in having people around and evaluating who was worth keeping. wilken got promoted to a position where he could do little damage. my guess is he takes a job in the same capacity with another team within the next year. i loved the 2011 draft, thanks for that much.
  11. Odds are pretty small, but as of today..... Jake Long, Duane Brown, Ryan Clady, Sebastian Vollmer, and Jermon Bushrod are all FAs in 2013, with the oldest of them being Bushrod at 29. All are top 10 LTs in the league. is clady really that good anymore?
  12. i their defense, it wasn't actually that bad last year
  13. I don't buy it. He was pushing for WR but not at the expense of even addressing the line. A line, by the way, that has practically gotten him killed. Tice, Smith, et al have talked from day one about their ability to "coach up" the guys they have and Tice has been lauded for his offensive line coaching skills. The Bears reached on a tweener pass rusher in the first round when they could have had a lineman. They already had Marshall and could have had a lineman in the 2nd, but chose not to. They could have had one in the third, or fourth as well. I don't see why we'd theorize that Cutler had anything to do with ignoring the line problem. It has been a staple of Bears management for a decade. It is what they do. Once they passed on Rieff, there weren't any potential LTs left.
  14. I think it was the actual entire freestyle leg of the 400.
  15. for the life of me, i don't understand why derrick rose can't make it into the club of "oh my god he's so amazing"
  16. Seriously? That's like saying Mark Cuban is an average business man. I'm talking average by billionaires standard, not regular guy standard. BTW... 10.03 would've been last in this Olympics. 6th and 7th were 9.94 and 9.98. That 10.03 time was his very first time at an official race. Think about that. i have no doubt that bolt could outrun me in 2007, we're talking about people that do this for a living.
  17. are you sure that you want to do this?
  18. he went from 10.03 in 2007 to 9.69 in 2008, whooping and hollering like an ape with a pocket-watch to the finish line. i'm wondering what 10.03 would have gotten him at the olympics. i'm talking average by olympic standards, not regular guy standards, i should make that clear.
  19. and that's doctor sulley to you, teach.
  20. phelps may well be doping. i hope he's not, but that female chinese swimmer that swam her final 100 in the 400 IM faster than lochte swam his is a little suspicious.
  21. i get it, it's cool not to care, i'm ok with that. but as i implied before, i don't think jamaica has as much to lose as the US in this one, which is why they're cutting edge when it comes to doping and have cats like angel heredia hanging around. i'd really really prefer to watch guys who aren't eating fetal stem cells for breakfast, though.and i can't wait to see lance armstrong and usain bolt go down.
  22. lol, tice hitched his wagon to the webb star, convinced mgmt to do the same, and is now disavowing any knowledge of him.
