  1. there's always the 69 jets and joe namath who was never particularly good.
  2. probably back when homeboy whatever his name is hit those shots on a broken leg and was a national hero ever since. your face is crazy talk now sit down before you lose your pants.
  3. i would say yes. but it doesn't make a huge difference, although i think if the heat played in new york, they would be national heroes instead of villains and they'd wind up as beloved as the 90's bulls teams. the point stands though that super teams are bad for business. for the record, milwaukee did have a super team and they won a title with them.
  4. i can see the average casual fan being more apt to watch the finals featuring the lakers and heat, but fan support is going to wane in the bigger markets if players flock to cities like miami and la, where sports generally take a backseat to whatever else there is there.
  5. an easy answer would be to move the warm weather teams north and the west coast teams east. just be like, hey assholes, you got to be cold now mother [expletive]
  6. gah, there goes the next few years of being interested in the nba.
  7. lovie got really upset when zaidman pressed him on it. he was like "look, it's a personal issue and that's all I'm going to say about. HE'S DEALING WITH A PERSONAL ISSUE!" and the guys on the score were like "oooh, he must really be injured or something." can you not [expletive] hear lovie? why the hell would he lie about something like this? why wouldn't he just say that urlacher is experiencing some soreness and they're being cautious? i mean, if he's lying about it just being a personal issue and he's really hurt, we'll find out eventually. just seems like a stupid thing to lie about.
  8. it depends upon how much jay trusts him and wants him out there. i think marshall goes for 1,200 and bennett gets around 1,000. my guess is jeffery ends up with around 500 yards.
  9. at least eaton and hardee did what dan and dave were supposed to do 20 years ago.
  10. i mean, it's the [expletive] olympics, behave like human beings
  11. your heart was in the right place
  12. i've had about enough of all these jackass jamaicans
  13. gah, they didn't have horse hormones to inject into their eyeballs in 1896, either.
  14. Spotter doesn't even have time to blink. that's her dad, right?
  15. "hmmm......Camden? Who cares?"
  16. he should have acted like he was drowning
  17. I don't if it's the media or the actual bears coaches who continue to pretend like a "run-first" offense can still be at all relevant when it comes to the super bowl. is this purely nostalgia? He also said that right after saying the offense looked like Cutler would be back at the 4000 yard mark. I guess you can have a "run-first" mentality and then just throw the ball all over. i hope so, because i'm sick of running
  18. I don't if it's the media or the actual bears coaches who continue to pretend like a "run-first" offense can still be at all relevant when it comes to the super bowl. is this purely nostalgia? Bears had 473 passing attempts, vs 456 rushing attempts last year. Is that run-first? well, then it's the media
  19. I don't if it's the media or the actual bears coaches who continue to pretend like a "run-first" offense can still be at all relevant when it comes to the super bowl. is this purely nostalgia?
  20. i am confident that he will one day walk again
  21. lovie is confident that urlacher has not retired
  22. i bet he goes yard to right at petco in his next AB
  23. this year? what the [expletive]?
