i would say yes. but it doesn't make a huge difference, although i think if the heat played in new york, they would be national heroes instead of villains and they'd wind up as beloved as the 90's bulls teams. the point stands though that super teams are bad for business. for the record, milwaukee did have a super team and they won a title with them.

i can see the average casual fan being more apt to watch the finals featuring the lakers and heat, but fan support is going to wane in the bigger markets if players flock to cities like miami and la, where sports generally take a backseat to whatever else there is there.

lovie got really upset when zaidman pressed him on it. he was like "look, it's a personal issue and that's all I'm going to say about. HE'S DEALING WITH A PERSONAL ISSUE!" and the guys on the score were like "oooh, he must really be injured or something." can you not [expletive] hear lovie? why the hell would he lie about something like this? why wouldn't he just say that urlacher is experiencing some soreness and they're being cautious? i mean, if he's lying about it just being a personal issue and he's really hurt, we'll find out eventually. just seems like a stupid thing to lie about.

it depends upon how much jay trusts him and wants him out there. i think marshall goes for 1,200 and bennett gets around 1,000. my guess is jeffery ends up with around 500 yards.

I don't if it's the media or the actual bears coaches who continue to pretend like a "run-first" offense can still be at all relevant when it comes to the super bowl. is this purely nostalgia? He also said that right after saying the offense looked like Cutler would be back at the 4000 yard mark. I guess you can have a "run-first" mentality and then just throw the ball all over. i hope so, because i'm sick of running
