  1. well, i've decided i like this bulls team, a lot. they are athletic, they are versatile, they are still young. even without deng, this team is good. hopefully, gooden gives us that ability to score in the paint that we haven't had since curry.
  2. it's an easy fix if it's not long-qt syndrome, and it sounds like it isn't. get him on a beta-blocker and he'll be good to go.
  3. i think derosa should hit second, personally.
  4. i don't care who hits third, i just think it's kind of an insult to lee. not that it matters at all.
  5. There are a lot of different types of irregular heartbeats that someone may get, some more serious than others. It sounds like your friend either had an ICD placed- which is designed to shock the heart out of an irregular rhythm if it goes into it. This doesn't necessarily fix the problem, it just corrects the problem when it happens. It's also possible he has a pacemaker- which is designed to instruct the heart to beat regularly, Derosa can have any number of different irregular heartbeats that can vary in severity. It is reassuring that he has had this before and still managed to be a productive player. Therefore, I am less worried. it sounds like he had catheter ablation, which is a procedure meant to destroy certain irregular electrical pathways, as svt is sometimes caused by an abnormal or "unauthorized" electrical channel that interferes with the hearts primary one, causing the heart to beat out of rythm. doesn't sound like he had a procedure to shock his heart back into a normal rythm, at least, that's the way i interpreted it.
  6. sounds like what your friend had was svt, supra-ventricular tachycardia. that's a common treatment for it. that's also what joey harrington and bryce drew had--but their's had to be fixed via surgery, i believe. i don't know if derosa was diagnosed with it or not. there are a lot of different types and causes of tachycardia. sounds like what he has is idiopathic tachycardia, or "we don't know what the hell is causing it"-tachycardia.
  7. haha, just kidding, vance.
  8. a 4.37 from a guy with guns the size of dmac's chest? yeah, i have to with shard here. though i'm biased. 4.27 is amazing speed.
  9. carmelo is such a baby. maybe if someone would guard gordon then you might have had a shot, but the bulls outworked you guys on the glass, too.
  10. i haven't seen shannon since he had cornrows, almost didn't recognize him. i'm sure he's glad to be home.
  11. i think it's totally awesome.
  12. that's an interesting name, but i'm wondering if i like him because of the bear-killer factor.
  13. i like how rex came back griese's injury last year. he looked like a different quarterback, even if his stats weren't necessarily outstanding. he looked comfortable in the pocket, the game looked like it had slowed down for him a bit, which is important if he's ever going to remain a starting qb in the league. kid has the arm.
  14. wow, they really have a lot of loyalty to their school, that's for sure. they also seem to understand the bind that sampson has put the school in. kelvin, you ain't keeping your job, give it up,.
  15. No doubt, but I don't think he's *this* bad. And I agree on keeping Chandler. Hell, should have just kept Brand. but like another poster said, on offense, he doesn't need to be guarded, so lebron may suffer. although i'm sure he'll play better with the cavs and it's probably a good fit.
  16. I have a feeling he is going to want to show what Cleveland gave up when they moved him. I think Hughes is going to be a really good player for the Bulls, I really do. i hope so, he's definitely talented. i feel bad for the development of thabo, though.
  17. I like the move solely because it rids us of an absolutely horrible basketball player in Wallace, and frees up his salary to be able to look to the future. I'm not really sure about the rest, and I don't think anyone else can be either. To me this is all about cutting loose the ball and chain known as "Big Ben." And for that, I am happy. Enjoy watching him suck for you, Cleveland. I'm sure Cleveland is thinking the same thing to Chicago fans about Hughes :D . The difference between Wallance and Hughes is that Hughes can actually be a capable NBA player now and then, can't say the same for Ben I think you'll be surprised what Wallace can magically do when he gets to a contender. the bulls were a contender last year oin the east and he still sucked. he's old and bad and he was redundant. noah will be able to do more, he's cheaper, younger, and taller. we should have just kept chandler in the first place, but whatever. joe smith is a loss, though. the man is a professional, he's the one who'll be very valuable on a contender.
  18. i'm going to go ahead and predict that hughes pulls a tim thomas/john starks. i have no idea why he would, but it just feels weird.
  19. Apparently you are a murder too. no, he's a rational human being that posts rational things in response to other rational posts, despite his obvious handicap of being a hawkeye fan. he is not a raving lunatic that goes screaming off into the night at an innocuous statement. Nah he's a murderer. It is obvious because he questioned McCamey. Plus I didn't scream about anything. I have been a big supporter of McCamey all year long. But it is your story, keep telling it how you want. dude, you wet your pants when i suggested that maybe, some day, he could possibly be better than williams. which is not out if the realm of possibilities. a non-psychotic response to such a statement would be "i disagree, deron is one of the best players in illini history and mccamey has a very long way to go to measure up." not the flaming, neurotic crap that you're known for. hence, you're a creepy mass murderer in the making, imo. that's all.
  20. deron didn't have to do as much offensively, and played with the bt poy and ftoy. he could afford to be more selective with his shot. plus, he had some great defenders backing him up. who on God's green earth, is going to take shots for this team if it's not mccamey? it definitely looks like either weber isn't interested in making brock the center of the offense, which he should, or brock is too passive to want the ball more. dmac has to take the shots, and he's doing well as of late taking those shots. From what I have read Weber is very fed up with Brock because he is always clowing around and doesn't take the game seriously. I don't know how much credence to put into that, but it is at least a theory. if weber were more interested in winning than in proving points, brock and mccamey would be starting every game and taking the majority of the shots. that's one of the problems i have with bruce, although he has grown on me in the last few months.

  23. greenspan 2 plz.
  24. i think he is viewed a star player on that team, if not the best player in illini history. i wouldn't compare him to mccamey, but i would say that mccamey has a chance to be as good or better, i see a lot in mccamey, he may not statistically a better shooter, but his stroke is better and he has the same court vision, he just takes more risks with the ball, but that will change.
