  2. zook brought in 3 top 100 recruits last year, including 2 top 10 players. if you want to talk this year, according to scout, illinois has the 18th best recruiting class in the country, while minnesota is at 28. brewster's not there yet, but well on his way. by the time zook's ready to hang it up, brewster will be ready to step right in for him without missing a beat. haha.
  3. If Zook manages to pull Harper to Illinois I'd be blown away. He visited Illinois early before any other school, but he's also visited Miami and Florida State. His scouting report: He runs a 4.35 40! I'd call that blazing speed. I can't wait until Wednesday to see what he decides. He'd get every opportunity to play right away at Illinois. That's got to be a big plus to Zook's pitch. While I would love to see Harper at FSU, IMO he's headed to Clemson. Or at least that's what I've heard from my sources at FSU. I know Clemson is a big player too. Honestly, I think he'll go to Illinois or Clemson. I'd be surprised if he went anywhere else. I'm crossing my fingers for Illinois. That would cap another great year recruiting for Zook. two words that iowa fans will know: jason ford. he's not as highly rated as harper, but imo, he's just as good, thicker and just as fast. oh, and the illini get liuget!!!!!!!!!!!!!! take that lsu. Yes, Jason Ford could be very good, but I highly doubt he will be as good as Harper. to tell you the truth, harper doesn't impress me that much. he's a hard runner but he doesn't run especially strong. he has no real technique, he's gottem by on athletic ability thus far. iirc, lemming has ford rated higher. i could be wrong, though.

  5. i can't remember victory, i can't remember the last time one of my teams won. it might have been the illini over northwestern in football.
  6. well, another patented losing streak by my teams. i'm not surprised that iu won at all, the refs make sure of that.
  7. even you loosiers can admit that ball went off ellis's foot!!!!!! i have it dvr'd if you want me to post the play.
  8. gordon is practicing for tsuperstardom in the nba, by which i mean constant whining at every single call that doesn't go his way.
  9. it's not so much the refs as it is the fate that my teams must suffer.
  10. white holds pruitt, ball off of indiana, it goes to indiana. man these refs are a joke, an absolute joke.
  11. it would be nice if anything ever went right for any of teams.
  12. randle sticks idkwti.
  13. i agree, dr. frazier is not a d-1 ball player. he might be the worst full time starter since bricks taylor.
  14. i know you can say this about a lot of games, but there were a few plays up to this point that went usc's way that were extremely lucky and would have changed the complexion of the game.
  15. i can't wait until booty doesn't get drafted.
  16. usc is good at stripping the ball and hanging on to it, though.
  17. all i have to say is ...its missouri. no one cares, no one will ever care I care. that's what he said.
  18. we'll see. good win, by the way.
  19. especially pitiful considering they were supposed national championship favorites at the start of the season. but then again they did the same thing against michigan last year, so its not suprising. lose a few games in the regular season, win a meaningless bowl game, act like your king of the world yes, the Rose Bowl is quite meaningless. it's just a little less meaningless than the cotton bowl, though. You know you don't deserve to be in this game so just get over yourself. Plus, I'd rather win the Cotton Bowl than get completely embarrassed in the Rose Bowl. See you in St. Louis. for which game, the game where the illini blow out a daniel-less tiger team or the annual braggin rights loss? Why are we Daniel-Less? And we're talking basketball now? Interesting turn of events. what? i talked basketball AND football on that one. and i'm refering to daniel coming out early just so he can get drafted in the 5th round.
  20. oh geez, usc would have scored 8 times on that play if the situations were reversed.

USC is healthy now. usc's not that good. they've gotten the benefit of a bunch of breaks. booty is an average qb. the only player that impresses me is mcknight. Right. USC sucks. You've got to be kidding me. i never said that usc sucks. i did say the west coast sucks, so eat it.
  23. no, you're right, they do. that's a no-call. he wasn't trying to make contact, he was going for the ball and the usc player got in the way. No, that's PI. The DB bumped the receiver and interfered with the receiver's ability to catch the ball. That's what is called pass interference. nope. that's called incidental contact when both players are going for the ball. DB bumps WR off his route. The bump prevents WR from catching the ball. That's PI. If it would have been the other way around - USC DB bumping an Illinois WR, you wouldn't be saying anything right now. he didn't bump anyone off the route, they were both going for the ball and thomas was better at it. i'm sure i'd be saying, "got away with one there".
