nail meet head. andruw jones is 30 years old, i don't think it's fair to assume that he's past his prime. he had a down year last year, but that doesn't necessarli imply a trend. wildly overpaid, yes.

randle misses an oop off an in-bounds that a duke player would have scored 8 points on.

everything duke is throwing up is going in. the illini are a good defensive team, but they can't play with a trillion fouls on them.

out of bounds to illinois? really? what a farce of a game. i think they just called a foul on arch. the illini have been fighting the respect issues from referees as long as i've been watching them they can't play with the dukes and arizonas because they're playing the respect game, they get none.

Meanwhile there are two individuals in Illinois' program who are lucky they are still able to walk. That "decison" was worse than Gordon ever made. i keep telling you, i don't know who that is. even if i did, right or wrong makes no difference to me on this issue. i don't care what the rules say, i don't care what the whole state of indiana says, i'm going to hold a huge grudge and you would, too--regardless of how old a kid is. Grudges are fine, but my point about stupid decisions still stands. yeah, and i can wish evil upon him for making a stupid decision. that's my right. Yep, have fun with that. Anyways, go Illinois, but just for tonight. oh great, an iu fan telling someone else to relax. look, i have nothing but the utmost respect for you, but everyone nurtures a hatred, if this is the biggest problem i have to face in my life, i'm a lucky, lucky man. Its no big deal. Your right, I would probably feel the same if the roles were reversed. Just turned your game on. Of the 10 fouls called on Illinois how many are legit? definitely not all of them, that's or sure.

duke is not a good team, they're getting bailed out an awful lot by partisan refs who refuse to even disguise their behavior. and another phantom call, as i write this.

another phantom foul on the illini. it's getting a little transparent here, refs. you need to be a bit more subtle.

what purpose does trent meacham serve? honestly? illini players getting called for fouls while on the bench. every single time down the floor the refs are callinga foul for absolutely nothing, no contact, nothing. and illinois opponents have yet to miss a free throw in this tourney.

IU knows the feeling of being deserted after supposedly landing major recruits. May did it, and then Josh Smith did it. So it's not like IU's fanbase is completely foreign to being left at the altar at the last minute. I happen to disagree that there needs to necessarily be a huge grudge towards the kids that do those sorts of things, but to each his own opinion. Good luck this year. The Illini should have the best defensive squad in the conference and that makes them dangerous. If anybody is going to shut down Gordon and White in the Big 10, it will be Illinois. josh smith went to the nba, that's way different.

Williams will know who he is real soon. that's fine by me, without [segment missing], sampson won't have an insurance policy. the sooner that happens, the better. Well, true, there isn't another Gordon (whoops, I mean "segment missing") but Devin Ebanks won't be so bad either. ebanks is a far, far cry from.... I'm not sure anybody knows how good Ebanks is. All we know is that Gordon was ranked around #3 and Ebanks is ranked around #12, so while Gordon is better Ebanks is also supposed to be a prolific scorer. I echo Bruno's sentiment that I hope Illinois destroys Duke. In fact, I hope Illinois does great in the non-conference part of their schedule. It only helps the conference to have its teams do well. you think talent like [segment missing] comes around every year? i can guarantee you that it's going to be a long, long time before indiana sees anyone of his talent again, ebanks being better than we think he is aside.

He sure did. I made the picture from Chicagosports.com my desktop background as soon as I saw it. It must be exciting for the players to have him in attendance on occasion. I was impressed by the Illini last night, and if that game was any indication, they should be able to hang with the top of the Big Ten this season. It was ASU, though, so I want to see how we fare against Duke and, hopefully, Marquette. i'd like to see tisdale play about as much as he did last night, and what i saw of cole i really liked. randle looked like a man among boys, but he's still going to have to shoot the ball to be effective against upper-echelon talent. dmac shot well, chester shot well, i was moderately impressed with alexander, brock has even shown flashes. pruitt is just a beast down low, and they rebound excellently as team, they're so athletic, they just toyed with those kids from asu in the paint.
