  3. i would absolutely love the opportunity to ruin the minds of shark fans as well.
  4. posted originally on NM, re-posted on SCH:

  7. You know I love to stick it to the Canucks, but there have been some well-balanced opinions coming from their fan base as well. Yes, there's the hysteria and general butt-hurtedness that comes with blowing a 3 game lead, but it hasn't been all bad. I'll be honest, their reactions that I read actually scared me. If this were the Cubs, NSBB would be catatonic. Their biggest thing is that they believed the Canucks dominated the Hawks in the 3rd and OT (which isnt unreasonable to say) and that if they put that kind of effort into game 7, they will win. The calmness and rationality of their response kind of went against what I was expecting and made me doubt, just a little, that we will see or morgue like setting if the Hawks get an early goal. Maybe I'm wrong though. For the record, the players were surprisingly upbeat and calm about the situation too. Not that I expected them to sound like they just lost the series, but I was surprised at how reletively poised and confident their interviews sounded. the crowd will be pumped, but they've been pumped before and ended up booing luongo.
  8. tell me more about ben smith. he was the most outstanding player in the ncaa tourney last year? wow, the guy has been a nice little present in the playoffs thus far.
  9. I mostly look at the blog "Nucks misconduct" or read the official Vancouver forum. Speaking of, I'm gonna fire up Nucksmisconduct.com right now! so many swears
  10. checking to make sure the puck was in the glove
  11. guts. all of vancouver is going to be petrified for game 7.
  12. Our team's never gonna win the Cup. OK, I'm pretty happy we're into the 3rd period tied with a legit shot at sending it to 7 games, though. Even if we get to game 7 I still will feel like we are playing with house money. I'm happy because I've felt like we were playing with house money since game 4. we've been playing with house money since minnesota beat dallas
  13. i'm just not liking this one. this one feels like a loss.
  14. we've gone over this, we don't win a cup without campbell.
  15. i would have like to have seen toews try to wrap one in from the side.
  16. i think it's a smart move by vancouver, actually. if they lose, luongo can get his mojo back by stoning us in game 7, if they win, they move on. however, if we end up winning the series, luongo needs to go right to a mental health facility afterwards.
  17. schneider is tough though, and i worry more about guys like him than i do against top goaltenders.
  18. buffalo is kaner's home town, i like miller for his olympic performance, and i hate pronger. go buffalo.
  19. seeing versteeg in a flyers uniform makes me sad.
  20. if we lose tonight at least it won't be in front of vancouver fans.
  21. i don't understand how loney can still have an everyday job.
  22. I would say Castro more like Vlad/Tony Gwynn in the "hit bad pitches hard". I've never heard Pujols like that before or being a "bad ball hitter". i judge that by observing that he doesn't really take a lot of walks for the caliber of hitter he is, although he is over 100 per season at this point as pitchers have abandoned all hope in getting him out, nor does he strike out a lot. which is pretty indicative of bad-pitch hitters. he gets good plate coverage and he may not look like he's hitting a bad pitch or, rather, a good pitch, but he's consistently excellent with any pitch, pretty much.
  23. i thought that was in. it would have been awesome to see vogel at the post game.
