  7. jesus. Jimmy Clausen is God. prove me wrong. he looks more like an ostrich, i'd say. Emu is better.... http://www.outfandish.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/emu.jpg yes, that's the one, an emu.

  10. Plenty of players show flashes of brilliance and never put it together. A player simply shouldn't be evaluated on a partial season of playing time. if some players show flashes of brilliance and still never put it together, what does that say about clausen's chances? Nothing. wrong

  15. I believe your opinion of Clausen should remain consistent with what you thought of him before last season. It's overreaction to honestly have no opinion on him and, after his rookie year, deciding he has no NFL talent whatsoever. It either shows that you place no value on collegiate performances or you place too much importance on one season of production (or lack thereof). By your line of thinking, we should write off Cashner as a mediocre MLB pitcher at best. no, because cashner has flashes of brilliance against high professional competition. clausen has not. with quarterbacks who are going to be good, you can see their talent early on. clausen is plodding, his footwork is bad, his release his slow, his arm isn't strong enough, and his decision-making is hard to evaluate because his accuracy is so bad, you're not even sure who he's trying to throw the ball to most of the time.
  16. [expletive] it, i really really want carimi. really bad.
  17. ryan kerrigan? right on.
  18. And I think you're assuming too much on just one year. If Clausen hadn't shown much pre-2010, I'd agree with you. But he posted very good collegiate numbers, looked very good in college and was impressive during pre-draft workouts. There's enough reason to believe he's got talent to not write him off after one bad year playing on a really bad team. i won't repeat myself again, you know what i think. but you honestly believe that there's a chance that he'll be "solid to very good", which is disturbing.
  19. damn, nice watches you mother-[expletive]
  20. I don't know - and that's the key. We need to see more of Clausen before making a final decision on him. If you look at only last season, then yeah there's probably not much reason to consider him a viable starting NFL QB. But that's why evaluations should cover more than one season of production. It's similar to deciding Cashner isn't any good because he struggled in the majors last year and completely ignoring his minor league numbers. no it's not, really. lots of NFL quarterbacks get thrown in the fire their first season and show flashes of what they will become but are plagued by bad teams or inexperience. lots of non-NFL quarterback get thrown into the fire their first year and show nothing and then drown in flames. clausen is one of the latter.
  21. come on, sulley. you know i wasn't asking for the exact number of minutes you watched. i'd just be surprised if anyone that's not a carolina fan or a member of clausen family could say they watched a significant amount of his nfl snaps. you say you have. so you're the 1. i've seen as many as is proper. really, i like football, and i like watching teams get destroyed, like a mike tyson fight. and the panthers were like watching some hobo fight mike tyson. the thing is, they didn't even have a puncher's chance because clausen has nothing in that arm.
  22. i had no idea that liuget pronounced his name lee-jit
