  1. i'm not interested in depth, i'm interested in playmakers.
  2. the best thing about baseball season is that there are so many more things that will go wrong
  3. i'm not waiting 2 [expletive] years to get decent again, it's [expletive] ludicrous to ask a fanbase of a major market team with lots of money to wait two whole [expletive] years.
  4. what the [expletive] is wrong with the world? what the [expletive]
  5. i swear, it feels like it's been moved back like 3 times. for some reason , i thought it was this weekend.

  7. not only is it not possible, it's a weird thing to say
  8. The Iron Sheik ‏ @the_ironsheik Reply Retweet Favorite · Open Raffi Torres have to play cheap only because he mexican and mexican dont know how to play real way ask the @JoseCanseco #teamsheikie
  9. kill whitney, kill him dead. then kill doan. it's literally the only way you can put yourself back in the series.
  10. I don't either, but they spent the better part of the 2000's doing just that. Hopefully all the talk is just talk and they actually will make an effort to improve the line through better talent, instead of just coaching. So far, Emery has done some nice things. He's not fixing everything at once, and probably not going "after it" as hard as many fans would want, but he made the Marshall trade and has grabbed some guys that can be decent pieces. But how he deals with the O-line in the draft is gonna tell me a lot about where this is heading moving forward. At this point I'd be much more excited to see him go after both sides of the line early and often than go after a WR. The WR need is real, but after the Marshall trade they can still get one in the middle rounds and try to develop. It's not like first round receivers are great bets or that late rounders/undrafted can't contribute. i'd like to see them grab jenkins in the 3rd or 4th, but i'd be very tempted if wright was there at 19, which he undoubtedly will be. he offers a different look from marshall and i think he'd compliment him well.
  11. i remember when the redskins wouldn't trade him for briggs. thanks washington.
  12. mike tice is wedded to jmarcus webb, at least his hc hopes are. i don't think lovie or even tice believe in webb, but webb is supposed to prove tice a genius, so we're going to play russian roulette with our franchise. awesome decision.
  13. if the suspension does not at all fit the crime, then you have to take somebody and run them at whitney or doan until they are injured.
  14. There is no chance of either of these things happening. Disagree. I'd bet an indefinite suspension is announced today and then he gets the Matt Cooke treatment. The second part might be the worst though I've ever read so I agree there:) alright, the second thing is the wrongest thing you've ever read? that's a weird thing to say. i'm actually not going to let this go, the more i think about it. when star players become targets of severe severe goonery in the playoffs and are lost for the entirety of the playoffs, you have to have a way to police this problem. utilizing your own goons on the opposing team's star players doesn't work, especially when the opposing team doesn't have anyone in the vicinity of a marian hossa. short of forcing a team to forfeit the series, how do you stop this from happening? you have to hold the coach accountable for the actions of the players, i don't see why that's so crazy. again, what is to stop someone like torres from going after a star player again in the playoffs and winning the series for his team by cheating? that's what it is, cheating. there's no way to stop it. if a lesser player sacrifices his playoffs in order to win the series for his team by intentionally injuring a star player, you have to assume that there's some kind of reward in it for him.
  15. rivals is bad for bball
  16. in my defense i'm still thinking irrationally from what happened last night
  17. fwiw, i think that torres will be suspended indefinitely, which will be the playoffs and the first half of next year. then, he will have to apply for reinstatement into the league. i also think that the hawks should press for a suspension for tippett. if they cannot make a case that the hit was premeditated and torres was under a directive from the coaching staff to injure one of the blackhawks' star players, they can make a case that tippett has lost control of his team and an appropriate punishment would be to bar him from the rest of the playoffs as well. seems far-fetched, but the hawks should at least petition the league.
  18. a violent flail on the part of smith there
  19. worst case scenario. we're gonna lose
  20. his head didn't bounce off the ice. i was looking for that.
