oh, and i think there's a real chance that we trade forte in the next 24 hours.

no CB in the first round, please. although it would be smarter than drafting LB. i'm starting to get skeptical that they even draft a WR, it looks like they may be full at the position.

roach is not ordinary, he simply plays an ordinary position. i've made the case for not taking him, though. he's not much of an upgrade at an unimportant position, and he could be screwed up playing out of position while we wait for urlacher to retire, which could be a while. it's an indefinite waste of a pick.

i wouldn't say that kuechly is an immediate improvement over roach. roach is a very good player and even if there's an upgrade, it's not significant enough to use a first round pick on. you're also playing with fire if you're going to be moving kuechly around like that. iirc, we tried urlacher at sam in preseason and he failed miserably and if we persisted, it may have ruined him.

Not if Kuechly is there at 19. And if we trade down, David would make sense in the bottom 20's, despite being a slight reach. Thats also supposing there isn't also an equally talented player at a position of greater need, but I wouldm't be upset with a LB if the right circumstances happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk we're set up to win right away, kuechly doesn't help us do that. you draft immediate impact players right away and then projects later on. i don't and have never believed in drafting the best player available, regardless of position. it may be that you have a more talented and seasoned alternative ahead of them on the depth chart. if kuechly falls, you look to trade down, if you can't you draft a pass rusher.

ok, last Bears mock of the year: 1. Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois 2. Kevin Zeitler, OG, Wisconsin 3. AJ Jenkins, WR, Illinois 4. Marcus Forston, DT, Miami 5. Alfonzo Dennard, CB, Nebraska 6. James Hanna, TE, Oklahoma- fast and underrated TE prospect, an athlete that we can do something with 7. Vontaze Burfict, LB, Arizona State- why take an LB early when we can get Burfict late? there are some warts with these players, but this is a strong draft for the Bears.

in the super bowl season, olin kreutz broke fred miller's jaw and miller hit kreutz with a barbell........in the head.........while drunk...........at a gun range. the best team the bears have had in the last 20 years, manned by criminals. yeah, i don't think chemistry is much of a problem, ever.
