  1. lol there's no way the White Sox radio booth job is paying more than Marquee.
  2. Costs more to lose Foles than to keep him next year. Also, if you believe the rumors it sounds like Pace is pretty safe because the McKaskey family loves him. Then Foles can come in as the back up for a guy they draft or sign.
  3. Mitch playing average-ish and leading to a decision about extending him seems like the worst possible outcome for the Bears rest of season. Given the remaining schedule, it's entirely possible he plays better than he is. No matter what happens, the Bears need to be looking into a new QB next season and just moving on from Pace, Nagy, Mitch, Foles, etc.
  4. The problem is (like I said pregame) is that this offense isn't good enough to overcome those "few bad throws". It's not good enough to overcome false starts on 3rd and 4, or drops, or personal fouls where you punch an unsuspecting DB in the face. If Foles makes those throws it's fine if he can consistently take the team down like the last TD drive. He, more than anyone, should know he can't afford to do that with the guys around him and on his sidelines. I'm also grading Foles on a Bears QB curve. He's still bad. But I thought he was decent yesterday (at least compared to what most are saying) and don't get the calls for Trubisky. Don't think that game gets to overtime with Trubisky.
  5. Am I the only one that thought Foles was actually fine today outside of a few bad throws? This is all on Ryan Pace anyways. Jimmy Graham looks like the guy we thought he was. Robert Quinn has been invisible. He can't find a good QB if his life depended on it. He hired Nagy if you dislike him. It's time for him to go.
  6. Thought Foles played well despite the numbers, especially in the first half. The whole problem with Trubisky was the amount of 3 and outs the offense had under him last year. The defense was on the field for entire games and seemed to break down late in games. Foles was able to sustain drives and mostly keep the defense off the field. After the Rams game, the schedule starts to open up for the offense who have been on a tough stretch of great defenses faced.
  7. Twins kinda collapsed after he left and Marlins obviously got much better
  8. Colts are the first decent D they've seen all year
  9. Why do people keep pretending spending money equals wins? They just lost to the team with the lowest payroll in baseball. The resources have been put into this team, the players just aren't good enough.
  10. PFF has always been pretty kind to the Bears. Thinks Bears fans have a grudge against them because of their Trubisky opinions which....well, they were right. Speaking of Mitch: https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2911595-why-how-the-bears-trubisky-and-the-fateful-2017-nfl-draft
  11. College football is a thing so not sure what they're looking for
  12. What are the Bears going to do to replace Cohen? They have Montgomery and Patterson but they're really screwed if one goes down, especially Montgomery. Do they look for a trade around the league or sign someone like Spencer Ware? And no, I don't think Ryan Nall is the guy.
  13. Rookie tight ends rarely have an impact, that's why I wasn't really high on the pick for a team essentially in win now mode. Doesn't mean Kmet won't have an impact going forward though.
  14. I know it's not franchise-crippling by any means but what's the point of the Tarik Cohen extension if the Bears aren't going to use him at all?
  15. Lost so much respect for Nebraska and their fans. Never seen a fanbase care more about going 5-7 at the risk of people's lives. Not that it would be much better if they were actually good.
  16. The 13-3 was mostly beating up on bad teams or teams with players out with COVID.
  17. That definitely was the plan and over 162 things probably would’ve been sorted out with a few arms internally and 1-3 acquired arms that a solid pen is formed. In 60 games/not having a full spring, it’s tough and basically impossible to go with that plan unless a few guys just catch heaters. Wonder what a trade deadline is going to look like, gonna assume it's not much with over half the league making the playoffs. Even the Marlins might not be out by then given their week off here.
