    Yeah I think we're getting thrown off by the outdated fv and prospect rank. One article said they'd put him at 40, maybe even 45. At 45 that would greatly alter the perception of this trade. Fangraphs is updated though as of the All Star Break though, isn't it?

    I saw Hunter Greene last week and he's legit. Was throwing 100 with great control at ease.

    Couldn't ask for a better return for Rizzo. The #2 prospect in the organization and 19 years old for a rental in a lost season.

    If the Cubs were a better drafting team like the Dodgers I'd probably take the comp pick but I trust their minor league scouting over their drafting. The picks would likely be wastes.

    Cap room isn't nothing to be fair. The money could have been used on non-declining players.

    I think they're looking to go down in a blaze of glory. One more season of trying. And then we might see a house cleaning of the front office as an excuse to erase the dirty parts of the past and move forward with fresh eyes. They're 100% just making splashes so people ignore the sexual assault stuff.

    Not sure it makes the Blackhawks that much better, even though Fleury was great last year, but they had some regression coming to their goaltending and this should help that. Still don't think they're anything more than a mediocre team though.
