  1. sweet comeback for the point. Too bad that last one Rossi rolled across didn't slow up enough for Jozy to tap in.
  2. Chealsea would have won the double. Anyone with GOL TV needs to tune in asap. The Jersey connection is starting up top for Villarreal. and getting shredded
  3. Holy crap is that Mexican ref terrible.
  4. Robbie Rogers has the potential to be viciously good.
  5. I am simply amazed that anyone, anywhere, finds Maradona to be the slightest bit sane.
  6. Where are you getting Kentucky is the best defense in the conference? They're 10th in rushing defense, 3rd in pass efficiency defense, 8th in total defense, 7th in scoring defense and third in pass defense. forget it, he's rolling
  7. Come 2010 Hejduk is going to be on a beach watching the tourney, and Cherundolo might not even be our 1st choice RB. We need to start really, really exploring these options in the next 12 months. Our defensive depth is pretty untested. Beyond the starters, you have: Califf=Bad Wynne=Untested Simek=Untested Spector=Good, but raw and injury prone Demerit=I think he's good, but untested Bornstein=Hejduk 2.0 Orozco=Untested Gibbs=DOA I still, still think DMB converting to left back and Edu converting to a center back makes the most sense given our midfield logjam by 2010. We have the Gold Cup, the Confederations Cup, Camp Cupcake and the lame friendlies in the winter/early spring and, of course, the Hex to work with. I don't want to be blooding major contributors in 2010 in some sendoff series of crap games or some half assed European Tour of Poland and Austria that don't simulate the enviroment they'll face. that is the most positive review of Danny Califf that I have ever seen.
  8. I don't get the Hejduk and Mastro callups, since who's more of a known quantity than those two, and I'd like to see Parkhurst tried in central defense, but other than that I am stoked.
  9. just finished watching the game...loved almost the whole thing. No major complaints.
  10. Meh. MLB washouts have monster years at AAA every year - Dallas McPherson, Mike Hessman, Chris Richard, and Nelson Cruz to name a few this year - but that doesn't mean there aren't any truly talented players in the league. No to mention that Randall Simon and Larry Bigbie never played in Japan. don't let facts get in the way of a good argument
  11. I would be extremely surprised if they have 3 WRs drafted in the first two rounds. In fact, I bet none of them is a first rounder, and I wouldn't be surprised to see none of them go in the second or third round either. Norwood is really small, Williams has never played up to his potential, and Butler doesn't have great combine-type numbers and is small. On second thought, Williams will probably go in the 2nd or 3rd...but i'm really not sure about the other 2. Especially Norwood. That's not to say that they aren't a great group of college wide receivers, but I don't think they're 1st/2nd round NFL talent.
  12. Milan scored some amazing goals today. http://www.101greatgoals.com/videodisplay/1585943/
  13. 30 shots with only 6 on target? impressive.
  14. Congrats on the win (even though you probably didn't even get even money). Seth, what the hell happened?! They've looked like hot ass all preseason and early season so it wasn't surprising. Also they have a ton of defensive injuries so they played with a central D pairing of two wingbacks, followed by, after one of them got injured, a wingback and a backup d-mid. I'm a bit worried. They could basically be done for the season if they don't snap out of it in the next couple of games.
  15. I was at the game and yelling my ass off. When I get the chance, I'll rewatch it while not drunk and yelling myself hoarse and post comments.
  16. You know what...even though i couldn't be more pissed off about who the USMNT is going to trot out tomorrow, I'm getting the itch. Tomorrow night I'm gonna be ready to rock and roll. Probably gonna lose my voice by the 2nd minute
  17. He better play some of the young guys at least in the three home games and probably in all four games since the US should have a spot in the next round locked up after the next two games (home dates against T&T and Cuba). Not sure if he actually will, but there's no point in not doing it. Considering that he can't play any young guys in the game this Wednesday since he already declared the roster and none of them are on it except for Sacha Klejstan, things aren't looking good.
  18. Edu was awful tonight. Lots of giveaways, many in dangerous areas. Bradley wasn't much better. At least he picked up yet another yellow card so that I don't have to see him on Wednesday. The goal was complete luck. Ching wasn't trying to play that ball back to Deuce at all, and frankly the ball wouldn't have fallen to Ching if the Cuban D-man had any directional sense. We still don't play any sort of free-flowing attacking football. I know, I know, we're not Spain or Brazil. But when we pick off a corner and the break upfield is populated by exactly 2 US players, that's effing pitiful. Once again, with even an average keeper, this isn't a win for us. This statement could be made for 75% of our wins in the last year, I think. We've also gone since February without a goal from a striker (Jozy vs. Mexico). Awful. If Frankie Hejduk is among your better players....I can't even finish this statement. I EXPECT MORE. EVERYONE SHOULD EXPECT MORE. WE'RE WINNING AND THAT'S GREAT BUT WINNING UGLY ISN'T SOMETHING WE SHOULD BE COUNTING ON CONTINUING.
  19. In the nuts.
  20. Gooch played the full 90 minutes of the 1-1 draw at Roeselare today. Or the blogs I read are run by retards.
  21. Looks like Gooch is movin' on, since he apparently didn't play for Standard today. PSG is the current rumor.
  22. hahahahahahahahahahaha
  23. I just found out I need to go to a bar to watch the Penn State game because RCN only has 2 big ten network alternates. Poop
  24. If that's a problem, you should never aspire to joining the Champions League. When I lived in Rome, Roma's group stage champs league games were not that well attended either.
