    i don't think that you're a cleat chaser, but other than reiterating the fact that you know a football player, what are you trying to accomplish with this post? reiterating the fact that I know a football player? Dude, I know so many pro athletes it makes my head spin. When you're involved in SEC athletics for several years you are bound to know lots of guys who make it big. He's just one of those. What I WAS trying to reiterate was his humbleness. but apparently not yours, eh? Ass. That wasn't arrogance, that was a defense of you implying that I'm proud of the fact I know a football player. It's not a unique thing or even that big of a deal to me. If this is true, i'm very amused by your signature.

    I don't think you're going to get anywhere near that at this point. Well, that's no good. I sold mine for about 70 a ticket on eBay. 80 might be too much, I had a hell of a time selling my Sox tickets for 80. Really? Bleachers? lot of inventory out there

    Oh, right, the information gained from nine or so innings that he has thrown against a collection of minor leaguers, with some major leaguers tossed in. Is it the 1.44 WHIP that excites you? San Diego is in luck, I mean, Termell Sledge is now a HR hitter. It's not who he's facing. It's that he's been able to consistantly throw the ground balls. He's been able get groundballs for exactly 9 whole innings against players, many of whom will not be in the majors this year. Tell me you can tell the difference. He's locating his sinker well, who he's facing has no bearing on his mechanics, or his location. Tell me you can tell the difference. I'm not a pitcher, but I bet if I was facing some little leaguers I could induce some weakly hit ground balls. On the other hand, I bet my ability would be more exposed against college hitters, they'd rough me up. The key is to throw at the first little leaguer's head, just to get 'em all thinking. Then you pound the outside corner and they'll step in the bucket and hit weak grounders all day.

    This is not really that hard. Marquis was appoximately average during a two year period where his peripheral stats said that he should probably be worse than average, and trended downward from those years into last year, which was an abomination that could have been predicted from his poor peripheral stats. This year, people are using those poor peripherals, along with a year of flat out sucking, to predict further sucking. Why is this offensive? And furthermore, why are some of you guys so dead set against these projections. It's been duly noted that while the correlation isn't one to one, there is , however, a very notable correlation with some of these stats, most of which point to general sucking on the part of Marquis. Therefore, those of us that believe in the predictive power of statistics, while we would like to believe that Marquis won't suck, are mostly resigned to the fact that his past performances indicate that sucking is very likely.

    I got those backwards directionwise last time (although it's correct if you're walking down the aisle instead of up), but my comment on the pole location still stands. Since the side the 3 vs 1 digit numbers are on depends on whether you're walking up or down an aisle, I'll state it this way: Single digits are on the left side of a section, triple digits are on the right side of a section (as you face the field).

    usually they'll show one live on the deuce and one on tape delay on classic, I think. I was referring to the one to be shown live

    I think I had it backwards. Triple digits are on the left of the aisle, single digits are right. This means you're on the right side of the section. This is a picture of section 218: http://www.seatdata.com/images/mlb_cubs/170x128/218.jpg Looks like that pole is toward the left of the section in row 7. My guess is you've got a pole to deal with. However, it's 13 rows in front of you, so it shouldn't take up too much of your view.
