  1. You forgot Rick Sutcliffe, Eric Karros and Mike Krukow. Is Milo Hamilton still doing Astros games? Announcers fall into 3 categories: 1. Legendary- one's that have been around so long that few dare to question their ability 2. Tolerable- Len and Bob fall in this category 3. awful- pretty much everyone else That's a broad brush. Simply asking, but can tolerable lead to legendary status?
  2. There are 2 on the current team. How dare you interrupt my hyperbole with facts!!! And Ronny Cedeno is waving to you from Pittsburgh!
  3. Meanwhile, Derek Jeter and Dustin Pedroia find nothing out of the ordinary...
  4. I'm so glad that Lee and Ramirez remain in the heart of the order while Geo hits 7th.
  5. It's Chicago; of course he is. I can't remember where I read it, but the owner of the building with the Horseshoe ad opposed it because he wants to eventually build another rooftop club there.
  6. The rooftops association is to blame for all of this mess. As if it isn't enough they're making millions off of someone else's product, they now want to dictate terms onto said product. Time for more windscreens. I've had enough of those idiots.
  7. True enough. And don't forget we got our 2B out of it!
  8. That response is the polar opposite of what Chicago sportswriters would have written. I remember another player in this city who walked out during a game and he became a pariah.
  9. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the Mariners cut him at the end of the season and just pay the remainder of his contract. But I'm sure there will be another team that feels they can fix him and will take him on.
  10. I've never met one. LOL, yeah. What right do those people even have to be upset about anything? They drafted Jesus Christ out of high school, but he decided to attend college and never signed.
  11. Harden was only necessary because we needed a stronger starter pitcher. Nolasco's 08 would have fit the bill perfectly and also would have prevented Harden's 09. Yeah Ricky Nolasco was just as good as Harden in '08. Actually, I'm taking back what I said. Under the premise of Nolasco filling in for Marquis, we still would have needed Harden. Consider my opinion retracted.
  12. Harden was only necessary because we needed a stronger starter pitcher. Nolasco's 08 would have fit the bill perfectly and also would have prevented Harden's 09.
  13. Nolasco would have prevented Jason Marquis. That alone would have been enough reason to keep him.
  14. Frederick's of Hollywood catalog time again.
  15. I'm imagining the episode of Seinfeld where Kramer passed a kidney stone at the circus screaming so loud the tightrope walker lost his balance and fell.
  16. I thought the A's picked up the remainder of his salary.
  17. Best hitter in baseball, arguably best top two pitchers in the NL ... not feeling sorry for the Cards at all. Miles probably won't even make it out of the minors.
  18. So do managers. Lou Piniella, we're looking at you... I just meant for this article.
  19. The real headline should be: Scouts make broad assumptions on limited results
  20. I'd say that this trade creates two holes in our bullpen, but who am I kidding?
  21. Casto + Cashner + Vitters for Brett Myers and Augie Ojeda. At this point, nothing would surprise me.
  22. wonder what the hell he is referring to. Maybe it was the HCG, same as Manny. It's supposed to spur production of testosterone in the nether-regions.
  23. Fixed. There's no reason for this guy to be on a ML roster. He had luck in 08 until hitters figured him out. It's not too late to get back into football Drew Henson... I mean Shark!
  24. For whatever reason, I have no problem with rehabbing players using PEDs because technically it is for health purposes. Regular Joe Schmo's are prescribed steroids for any number of diseases. I mean my grandma was prescribed steroids to get over a bad cold (of course, she's 85 and probably couldn't top 10 on a fastball).
  25. I'm sure his face fell on the dad's closed hand a couple of times. He looks clumsy like that.
