  1. Not that he's "available," but what do you guys think Gore would cost?
  2. This has been my concept for many years when guys on here wanted to add bench depth to the team. The best way to strengthen the bench is to replace starter with better players and put that player on the bench. Thank you for mentioning that!
  3. I'm sorry the website made you click on my post. We obviously don't feel the same way about the purpose of a Cubs forum.
  4. We most certainly don't need an article dedicated to climate change in a Cubs forum. You're kidding, right? This is not a political page. It's a Cubs page.
  5. Fair enough. But I'm not trying to shut anything down. I'm just saying that this is a Cubs page and not a political climate change page.
  6. The article is not about the Cubs. It's about climate change. This is a Cubs page, and not a weather page.
  7. I think if Turner could play 3B or SS, and hit LH, he would have been the guy both games.
  8. Long's BABIP has been falling fast, and as expected, so are his numbers. I wish he could hit LHP because I think he would be a better platoon option for Busch than Turner.
  9. Please stick to articles about the Cubs, and not your personal beliefs about the climate. It's just your opinion.
  10. Exactly how I see it. I'm thinking that tomorrow will be Browns last start, and he will take Pearson's spot in the pen. I think he eventually ends up the 8th or 9th inning guy. He can also be used as a multiple inning guy in high leverage situations.
  11. I take Craig for his word. They will monitor his pitch count every game, and his velocity. He wants him in the rotation through the playoffs.
  12. Craig said that there's no hard innings limit on Horton. He wants him in the rotation through the playoffs.
  13. For some of you prospect guys, and more knowledgeable guys. In the time Shaw has been in Iowa, is there any changes that have been made. Approach? Swing? Stance? Leg kick? Thank you!
  14. And there you have it. Happ to the DL and Moises called up.
  15. I agree with all of this. If Busch was hitting LHP, and we had a third baseman, the bench wouldn't matter right now. Bench players are just that. The should hardly ever play. But here we are, with bench players seeing every day action. Not good.
  16. If Happ goes on the DL, it won't be a bad idea to do exactly that.
  17. The bench gets exposed when they play too much. Not having a 3B means playing a bench player every game. Busch not hitting LHP means a bench player is playing too often. Happ not playing the last two games means a bench player in in the lineup again. Bench players should play a minimal amount of games.
  18. I think you nailed it. I'd think that Cosgrove goes down today.
  19. He leads all position players in OAA, Runs Prevented, and Fielding Run Value. He should win it unanimously.
  20. This is the result of pitching 85% of the staff for one inning in the same game. Guys need to go 2-3 innings, and then rested for 2-3 days, keeping just about all of the pen available every day.
  21. Their rotation has been set, and he's not in it.
  22. Right??? What's he expected to say? "I hope the Cubs beat us." This is weird that it's even a story.
  23. I would say it's his very slow bat speed. His very low hard hit rate. He very low exit velocity. His epic low barrel %. His low launch angle sweet spot. I know I'm stating the obvious, but all of this points to no power.
