  1. Frank Robinson, Felipe Alou, and Dusty are pretty bad.
  2. Face Value + 5. I'm serious. All I need to do is find someone to go with me, and I might be able to do that. What is the face value?
  3. Graves, Sullivan, Williamson, Gabe White... hmm, of that group, only Williamson is considered any good.
  4. I think its the Reds. I just thins that Z just cant beat them.
  5. Yeah, you're supposed to swing, not throw the bat at the ball.
  6. 87. He will be done by August with how Dusty is using him.
  7. The problem is that you cant do this every two or three years because you probably won't have enough good players to do it, especially if you don't have high draft picks due to being a contender. The Yankees are a good example. They have a very week farm system because they can't draft that many good players.
  8. I am predicting 5 pitches this inning for Milton. And then he leaves. Because Z kills him.
  9. stfu. Haha. Now Dusty really needs to get on Z for just being an idiot.
  10. somebody needs to chew Z out. This is just immature and stupid. He's playing like he's 12.
  11. Bravo Pierre! WAY TO PLAY THE OUTFIELD!!!!!!!!! I wonder if we can play any worse today.
  12. Cabrera is another player I would give up a good chunk for. There are just some players you would overpay for.
  13. 8 pitches that inning for Milton. Here's to the complete game!
  14. Please, someone get a bat and just swing it at my head as hard as possible. WINS ARE A TEAM STAT, not a stat to judge pitchers by. In fact it's the worst statistical category to judge a pitchers stuff by. BAA, HR/9, K/9, K:BB, ERA+, ERA, OPS Against, WHIP in conjunction with HR/9 and SLG% against are all infinitely better stats to determine "amazing" and "elite" ^^^ I think I'm putting the above on my cut/paste board. If wins were a team stat, then Shawn Estes was one of the best pitches a couple years ago when he won 15 games with the Rockies. Why people continue to act like wins are good stat to measure pitchers is beyond me.
  15. Like in Milton's last two starts vs them? Oh, wait, thats right, Milton is a piss poor excuse for a pitcher, but because he's left handed he will shut us down. All this is going back to coaching. Nobody seems to have taught Z that he needs to step off, take a breath, and not overthrow, he keeps doing it and I see nothing changing. Almost nobody on this team is patient. There's being aggressive and then there's what this team does. Nobody seems to be able to get up for the teams like the Reds, which is why if we get to the playoffs, we can contend, but we won't be able to get there as long as this team continues this poor play against bad teams, especially bad pitchers. It seems like we get shut down by way too many bad pitchers.
  16. What I really hate is that Milton is one of the worst pitchers in the league, but we cant do anything against him anymore. Its almost as if the Cubs don't prepare as much or try as hard against lousy pitchers because they expect to do well, and then suck because they really don't know whats coming.
  17. Fine, it wasn't a tipped ball, so its a called strike.
  18. this is also in LA, not in Arlington.
  19. I can't hit and am not a great fielder but i can throw the ball pretty well, so, since I am also pretty big and don't have a lot of stamina, I am a relief pitcher. I do have a pretty nasty curve.
