  2. Pierre ground out, 4-3 Cedeno fly out, 9 Walker doubles to right center Ramirez pops out, 4 Pitt 2 2 1 0 Cubs 0 0 1 0
  3. Nope, there goes number 7. Darn. Pierre went Ball, Strike, Out Cedeno went Strike, Ball, Out Walker Strike, Ball, Ball, Foul so far.
  4. I have 7. That would be under. no, I'm telling you its going to be 7.
  5. Damn it, let him attack the strike zone, stop making him try to paint the corners.
  6. Man, Guzman might be able to make it out of the second today!
  7. Lets see, a hack line up that has absolutely no clue what being patient means vs a very good lefty? Yep, were done.
  8. If he goes to Boston, Jimi isn't going to be able to show his face around here ever. But, since we are Cubs fans, what will happen is he'll sign with the Stros and come back to pitch nearly as good as last year.
  9. The fact that we have 3 rookies (Does Hill count?) in the rotation is insane. The fact that so far the have outproduced 2 more veterain pitchers (Williams and Rusch) is even more incredible. I just hope Marshall can continue to produce and that Guz and Hill can do well.
  10. Nice Job Bob! And there goes the signal with the rain.
  11. okay, I gotta go, win you bums, so that I may not be sent back to the minors with an 0-4 gamethread record. come on Sean, lets get these hacks.
  12. Overweight and a lack of talent. He just had a good year in 2003. Last season was pretty typical. Most of our fans just have unrealistic expectations for him. I didn't expect him to do uber-good, just not super suck like he has.
  13. he's facing the bottom of the order, he is where he needs to be to get that last inning.
  14. who did you want them to pinch hit with? Well, number one, it would waste a pinch "hitter" (I use that term loosely with our bench, only Hairston do I think could come through), and it would burn a pitcher.
  15. No, its a good call. Outside of one bad call that lead to a run that shouldn't of been, he has been lights out. I doubt they get a baserunner here.
  16. No, if he gets out, Marshall will probably be allowed to hit, if he gets on, then Marshall will be pinch hit for. I'd think if he gets on, Marshall bunts him over. And waste an out, making it two outs and needing a hit to get him in? that doesn't work.
  17. No, if he gets out, Marshall will probably be allowed to hit, if he gets on, then Marshall will be pinch hit for.
  18. FWIW, the Buc announcers speculated the ump was thinking that because he fielded the ball in the basepath, Wilson had to go around him. They looked up the rule here and justified this. He had already fielded it and was going to apply the tag, therefore, he was out. I hope we beat up on Santos next inning He was heading wide before he fielded it. Check the replay again. Still, the call could have gone either way. No, he wasnt, he was still in the line. It shouldn't of gone either way, there is no way he is safe when he is three feet outside the line.
