  1. What a terrible call. That should be targeting, 1st and goal at the 1 yard line for Cleveland. If they review a play, EVERYTHING should be deemed reviewable during that specific review. Makes too much sense I guess I also hate that touchback rule. Why should the other team just be given the ball? Just make it go back to the spot of the fumble.
  2. They'll overturn it. Not because it's not a pick, but because it's the NFL.
  3. Who is the backup? They cut Haskins Taylor Heinicke
  4. I was finally able to go out and play today after not being really able to due to either weather, work, or the courses being packed since the end of October. I'm visiting my parents and am due to head back to Chicago tomorrow, so even though it was kind of cold (mid 40s) we still went to the course they regularly play at near DC (Laytonsville MD). Played 9 holes + 2 more (1 and 9 again) So, after not actually playing for almost 3 months, not going to a range since early December, and not even swinging a club for the last three weeks, how did I play? The best 9 I've had in a while. Shot 41 (3 bogies, 1 double) on the 9 and parred the 2 extra holes. Had putts for birdies on multiple holes, but couldn't sink any. If it wasn't for my putting being rusty and a little offthe horrible condition of the greens, I might've cleared 40. The only issue I had was on the second par 5, and even then it was after a great drive and second shot (thinned my 3rd way over the green and then misjudged the shot back and hit it back over the green).
  5. In the 2nd quarter, and the Broncos are currently ahead in passing yards, 0 to -8.
  6. And the actual conspiracy comes to light: get Northwestern into the Big 10 Championship Game. Expect OSU to have to forfeit, and then on to the playoffs.
  7. This was cool enough to catch Slate's attention. The headline: In the body: Poor Jon Rahm. He's the Mike Trout of the PGA (if there were about 8 guys as good as Mike Trout) You know, I get that they don't cover golf, but they could try to not be "sportsball" about it. And for those who don't know, Jon Rahm is currently the World #2, behind Dustin Johnson.
  8. Politics politics politics red sox rehire Cora politics politics politics
  9. I know it's not a scientific or anything, but the reddit "Dodgers win the WS" post is only at about 19k score. The Cubs one from 2016 ended up at about 69k, and the post for the Astros getting elminated from the playoffs this year was at about 59k. So basically nobody cares about the Dodgers.
  10. On one hand, I find it funny for the Dodgers to keep failing. On the other, I find it funny for Atlanta teams to keep blowing things, especially when it involves 28-3. (This time it's the record of teams taking a 2-0 series lead) So, either way whatever.
  11. oh thank horsefeathering god.
  12. If that's the excuse they go with, Roberts will be fired.
  13. It's a good thing that Matt Carpenter sucks.
  14. That is correct according to this: https://www.mlb.com/news/cardinals-tigers-september-28-games-scenarios Passan says otherwise, if the cardinals clinch a playoff spot. Which requires some combination of 2 Cardinals wins/Phillies losses. We have the better win% no matter what in the final 2 here. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29940841/passan-final-week-mlb-never-seen-before If that's the case, I feel like the Cubs would have a legitimate complaint that the Cards get home field by playing 2 less games.
  15. I thought they will play if it determines home field That is correct according to this: https://www.mlb.com/news/cardinals-tigers-september-28-games-scenarios Just want to note that in order for the Cards to tie, they have to win their last 4, which include 2 against the Brewers. By winning those 2 games, they would have a better intradivision record than the Cubs and would then have the tie breaker (23-17 vs 22-18). So yes, if the Cubs lose the next two and the Cards win their next 2, the Cards then have to play at least 1 more game (if they lose the first game against the Tigers, they wouldn't play the second).

  17. I love this still of Yelich looking like a moron:
  18. And then Happ completes the golden sombrero.
  19. I swear this team has some screwed up theory on batting with the bases loaded.
  20. I would almost expect it at this point.
  21. Every time it comes up, I remember how good he was for us in 17. Also, could be worse, like trading, oh, I don't know, how about Tatis Jr for James Shields.
  22. This team is really lucky they aren't playing in front of fans, they'd be getting boo'd hard right now.
  23. 5 games at Wrigley, the Cubs won 3 of 5, but the away team won 4.
