  1. A lot of these come from a time when the forum was busier and needed more separation/organization. A pruning has probably been needed. I mostly browse using Active Topics/Unread Posts anyways. For me: North Side Baseball Cubs - General Baseball - Game Threads Forum - as long as Fred's name stays on it, or maybe a FredBot to start the game threads. Minor Leagues & Amateur Baseball - these don't get a ton of use individually and could probably be merged Fantasy Sports General Fantasy Sim Baseball Non-Baseball Talk Other Sports - stays Social - merge in rants Events Forum Support Elminate: Guest Chats Insider’s - Back when the board had more people, it was a place for long time members to post privately... aka bitch about new members. not really used anymore, but could still be liked as a place for more personal posts that some people may not want seen by non-members or newer members. Transactions - just post in Cubs/General discussion Polls - no need for an individual forum
  2. Mis-id by the DBacks broadcast, it was apparently Jordan Nwogu. Nwogu came in the game and was misidentified as playing 3B (he was in the OF). BJ Murray also came in and was the one misidentified as Canario. It was a multi mis-id. Murray was identified as Ngowu who was identified as Canario.

  4. There's something about them that I find physically off-putting.
  5. It's listed here: https://www.mlb.com/live-stream-games/2023/02/25
  6. It feels like the Ravens are more worried about leaving time on the clock for the Bengals than actually scoring.
  7. When he's done coaching the Bears need to give him a do nothing ambassador job.
  8. Reminds me of the Rich Peverley collapse. Dallas Stars player who finished a shift, went back to the bench and collapsed -survived. At this point the NFL should postpone the game until tomorrow night.
  9. As has been mentioned a lot, I don’t think they’d be against going over the LT this year for the right guy/moves. With all the money falling off after the year they could easily reset next year while having room to add. The only reason not to be in on Correa would be if this medical issue is really that big of a worry, which don’t blame them, or if they truly think they can get Ohtani next year and will wait until then to go over the LT. Nobody has said they are adverse to going over the LT, they try and not be repeaters but I’d be surprised if they aren’t over the LT in the next 3 years. According to reports the Cubs never made him a formal offer so I don’t think they’re interested at all. That may have been because they knew he was looking for a 10+ year contract and it seems like the Cubs aren't interested in contracts over 7 or 8 so they didn't bother.
  10. 14 losses is more than 13.
  11. the cubs paying 400/12 for Correa and him not leaving up to the deal will have no effect on your life At what point did I say it would?
  12. Correa is going to be asking at least $350m at this point. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up 400/12. I don't know if I expect that, but I wouldn't be surprised.
  13. I'm not trying to relitigate the actual decision to keep Schwarber or claim his 2020 was absolute proof of his level at the time, but in the context of being surprised at the claim that Washington 'fixed' him, it definitely matters that he was near replacement level in 2020. Here is his fWAR the last 5 seasons: 2.5 2.0 0.3 2.8 2.7 It looks like 2020 is a clear outlier and that his performance only improved marginally since leaving the Cubs. Or I guess you could argue he was on a clear decline with the Cubs and then Washington saved him lol. The one thing about using fWAR is that it includes defense, which he is terrible at (and apparently this was his worst year) If you go by wRC+: 115 119 91 145 128 (it could also be noted that he had a very bad start, and had 140 after June 1st) Just looking through the rest of the page, the one thing I see is that he's swinging at a lot less pitches outside the zone: 22.0% 24.0% 26.8% 20.6% 21.6% Now whether that's lead to him getting more pitches in the zone or it's due to getting more pitches in the zone, I don't know.
  14. Well, at least Seattle has now gotten 2 homes games. Maybe a 3rd if they manage to win.
  15. Yep. His logo is a dead bird: https://rj51photos.com/
  16. I always thought that the Bears were never a "terrible" team, they were always just mediocre. Every year they could win 5 to 10 games (usually 6 or 7), but never truly bad. They are now truly a bad team. Congrats to Poles and Eberfulllawhatever, you've made a difference here and finally pushed the Bears over the cliff.
  17. I was certain the Phillies were going to blow it.
  18. Cleveland in 3 St Louis in 2 Seattle in 2 Padres in 2
  19. Really? I mean, he's a Mets fan. I would think he'd be used to this.
  20. I would expect a lot of the ones that are out of city centers or in smaller cities like Green Bay would have practice and team facilities nearby while the ones in dense areas wouldn't.
