  1. Tennessee deserved to lose with the horsefeathers play calling to end regulation and in OT. Also, that call at the end wasn’t a bad call. His forward progress was stopped. People can argue that they should've let them play longer due to the situation, but frankly he was being held up at the 2 and was stopped. Pretending that this was somehow a terrible call is horseshit, it wasn't even a wrong call. Also, the whole "whistle came after" idiocy completely ignores how the rules work. It's the same as when they say there was a strip but called as no fumble because of forward progress being stopped.
  2. That was horsefeathering hilarious. GJ Vikings.
  3. Am I just totally forgetting a 1st Canadian team? Where have you been? New York kicked Buffalo out. Not the team, the whole city. It's Canadian now. (I'm guessing he considers Buffalo to be partially a Toronto team)
  4. Is it really that unthinkable?
  5. Cubs were 22nd at 44.4%. Interestingly, the WS were 28th.
  6. Pfft.
  7. Just confirms that Rizzo is a better pitcher than Hader. And Yelich k's on 3 pitches to end the Brewers' season.
  8. He does exactly what the front office wants no matter how dumb it is
  9. And Tampa and Washington blow it.
  10. And the Cubs season ends in a weirdly appropriate way, mercifully rain shortened.
  11. I've been there. It was interesting for a minute, but then it was just a bass pro shop with a really tall ceiling.
  12. Well this comment surely won't end up looking stupid. The US led big after the first session in France in 2018 and got blown out. I didn't see a blowout this big happening. This might be the last ride for a number of European horses and there's not nearly the kind of young up-and-comers that the US has. I see the Americans dominating for years. You're welcome for reversing your jinx. The talent level is definitely biased towards the US in the near future, but the euros have seemed to excel at the team events more than the US.

  14. I don't know about the bot, but it's gusting 40+ knots from the north tonight. They're predicting 20 ft waves on the lake.
  15. https://baseballsavant.mlb.com/gamefeed?date=9/13/2021&gamePk=632489&chartType=pitch&legendType=pitchName&playerType=pitcher&inning=&count=&pitchHand=&batSide=&descFilter=&ptFilter=&resultFilter=&hf=exitVelocity#632489 If you sort by EV and click on Home Run under result, it has a image of the trajectory that shows 34 ft
  16. Good outing from Alzolay - 4 innings, 40 pitches, 30 strikes, 5 k's, 0 bb, 1 h, 0 r
  17. For a while earlier this year I listened to the Baseball Tonight podcast. I eventually gave up after I came to realize it was the Buster Olney Show and he's a horsefeathering moron.
  18. It's lawn bowling/bowls.
  19. Has their ever been a brothers battery before? Not since 1962: http://research.sabr.org/journals/baseball-brothers
  20. They changed the rules a couple years ago (before covid) so that it was optional. It was mostly to help with pace of play, so that someone don't have to walk over and remove the flag prior to putting. Last year most courses made it so that you weren't supposed to remove the flag and that made it more likely that people just don't remove it anymore.
  21. Why would they release him? Right now performance isn't the critical thing, it's just whether or not he's giving them innings every five days. If he's getting shelled and only going a couple innings, then he's useless. If he giving them 5, losing is fine.
  22. Well, Willson's still awesome.
  23. Oof. Two transactions in one half on the same slot. Done and done. This is your second transaction of the second half. And I'm sure I'll use the third on the same slot in a couple weeks after Eloy runs into another wall.
  24. From my understanding, there is room during the offseason to make moves that put you over the cap You have to be under it once the season starts, but then the LTIR comes into play. Seabrook and Shaw immediately go into LTIR which allows for their salaries to no longer count against the cap, freeing up something like $11 mil. But free agency starts tomorrow morning. Do we know if he's even going to show up? Wouldn't it be nice to know if we have an extra $7m to spend or not? Do they really think they were Jones (minus Keith, minus Boqvist) and a goalie away from contending? I'm just talking about cap space. I have no idea what Bowman is trying to do.
