Happ getting a half game off, he won't have to play Outfield tonight and just focus on his ABs. Hopefully he can have a good night, he is wayyyyyy overdue. -
My thing with Alcantara is I worry that he just wont be the guy were hoping for to finish out this season. I think what he has done so far will continue as he is working his way back from his surgery and missing a full season, now next season he can be much better and closer to his normal self.
-
Yep, be cool if they can leave Minnesota with him on the plane with them
-
I said with them involved not just them
-
Blew the opportunity to tie or take lead in the 8th and bam the Twins are opening it up now
-
Ballgame 🤦♂️
-
This game sucks, best opportunity all night with the right guys up with men on base and nothing. Leave little confidence they get anything going or cash it in with the bottom half of order due up in the 9th.
-
Biggest AB of game here, let go Zuki
-
When theres other guys in lineup struggling for awhile, sometimes you can't afford to carry the rookie that hasn't figured it out yet when your fighting to win games to stay on top.
-
I'd take my chances with Long to start the second half with at 3B until Hoyer able to find an everyday guy via trade. I said a couple weeks ago that Hoyer needed to go get a 3Bmen and for Shaw to go down until at least September and just work with the Iowa coaches.
-
Theyre not getting shutout, once they get a run across , they'll get a few to take the lead.
-
Him and Boyd as of now are the only guys in the rotation that they can count on to go deep and save the pen that will be needed more for the other 3 starters.
-
Same when I had looked before, couldn't find anything exact for him or JD
-
Tried to pull all 3 of those pitches that were on outer half instead of just going the other to where he had a giant hole to hit through. Don't know why CC just don't flip him and Happ just to give them both a different look in the order and maybe they can get going.
-
Giant hole on right side just take it there
-
Swanson got his hit already tonight 🙄🙄🙄
-
Damn, too hard off the wall for Tucker to score and not high enough to get over, now that bad luck......
-
Im still curious as to what will happen with him next season with no more ESPN games. Will he do more games or what will he choose to do if whomever takes over for ESPN wants to hire him, will he be able to still do Cubs games? Anyone know when his Cubs contract expires?
-
Id be ok with this if Wiggins wasn't involved, but not sure if Alcantara just going to magically turn his season around for himself the final 2 months. Id rather see how close they can be to adding Skenes with this group involved. I agree trades gonna cost a little more for them cause teams know they need another quality starter and they do have talented prospects that are ready to near ready to be up.
-
Cubs hitters were told to speed up today game to make up for the long one Sunday 😏😏 This is ridiculous, guy at 60 pitches through 5
-
Lotta teams still in WC mode, there should be some movement after the break
-
Seeing many of these laughable proposals
-
Those are my hopefully untouchable, but if one of them does get traded I just hope it not for a rental piece and the player will make a huge difference not just this season but will also going forward.
-
That goes for most teams and if they do lose a regular for a significant amount of time that replacement will come from Iowa like McGuire did for Amaya, so it not the bench that you need to have be a acceptable replacement it the talent it Iowa where you need to hope theyre not just talented but ready to step in and fill that role. This said I more then agree that these bench guys outside of McGuire are terrible and useless.
