    Bats were due to go into a funk, just hate when they all go at once just like I love when they're all hitting together. This rotation isn't good enough to hold up their end when the bats do crap the bed all at once, as they don't have that guy who can hold opponents down consistently to give bats a chance at least late in games. Imanaga should be back in about 3 weeks which will help alot, and he'll probably replace Brown in the rotation, especially if Horton keeps improving with each upcoming starts. They're going to eventually need to trade for another top end starter to replace what they lost in Steele, and my guess is that guy will replace Rea in the rotation so he can go back to the bullpen. Imanaga, new starter, Taillon, Boyd, and Horton should be good enough to roll into the postseason. Of course any upgrade to the bullpen amd the bench at the deadline would be more then welcome.

    I hope Cubs are going with Taillon tomorrow and Horton Sunday, then with Monday off they can go to Brown on Tuesday against the Nationals.

    Bats need to do something here to keep this a ballgame, Rea is likely gonna be asked to go at least 2 more innings with tomorrow being a bullpen game.

    Yea, some guys just need that change of scenery to a better team in a playoff run to amp up a bit. Id take him but only if it doesn't cost too much in trading away their top prospects

    Outside of the weather being a factor, Cubs haven't been walking much this series. So, they're not getting those extra baserunners, nor are they doing well with RISP.

    Busch won this game with taking a look at that hole on left side and guiding that ball that way knowing pitcher was gonna keep it away so he cant pull it.
