Yea, before the deadline I was like ho hum it doesn't matter, then they started winning and looked to have a legit shot at first place so I got excited. Now the last 2 weeks of playing bad baseball and with first out of reach and hanging on a thread for a WC spot, im back to really not caring one way or the other.. If they make it, great, extra baseball, if not, let get the offseason rolling and upgrade this roster.

Postseason baseball would be great but yea, itll most likely look like 1998 against the Braves with a quick exit.

So, itll be Bellinger Swanson and Suzuki in the 9th to hopefully tie or win, lol who says the baseball gods aren't reading our message board to set this up 😅

I could be wrong and it likely they dont think like this but, I mean yea it great to make the postseason but how much energy is really there for these guys knowing that it'll likely be a quick exit knowing that there not much to hang their hats on with the pitching both with the starters and the pen, and theyll be likely going up against a team with solid pitching and hitting.

Well, maybe the bright side will be we might see PCA, Canairo, and maybe even Mervis playing the final 3-6 games of season depending on how the weekend goes against the Rockies. 🤷♂️

They have 3 good hitters, so I think they want them to bat 1-3 or 2-4 (Hoerner, Suzuki, Bellinger) and then everyone else 🤷♂️ Last week it was why is Happ in front of Bellinger, this week it why is Swanson in front of Suzuki, next week it'll be why is Tauchman hitting in front of Hoerner..lol

Then Ross needs to bat Happ and Tauchman lower in lineup and just hit Suzuki, Hoerner and Bellinger 1-3 and then everyone else, would that be better ?

Bellinger promptly pops out.. Suzuki flies out.. Both hitters come up empty with 2 guys on base

Whether he hitting 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th or 9th there going to be a likelihood that he'll come up with a guy or two on base. He slumping, as long as he in the lineup and not hitting, there going to be an AB or two that finds him up there with guys on base, no matter where he hitting in the order

You do realize a different lineup to start the game would have had a totally different scenario then what we've seen.. Different pitches called, different outcomes for each hitters

When you only have 2-3 guys hitting, yes.. Otherwise you got 6-7 guys doing little to nothing all hitting in a row

If Suzuki were hitting in front of Swanson, he wouldn't see a strike either.
