This is what worries me with this team when the postseason arrives. Yes these guys are capable of going off for 5+ a game in any series, but because of a few individuals on this lineup that has been struggling more often than not all season, its hard to feel confident in them putting up runs in the postseason, let alone against a team top 2 starters in a series.

Have to think Gausman and Holmes will definitely be scheduled to pitch in all the series they play in, those 2 were traded for to be those guys for them. Then it'll likely be whomever pitching the best along with matchup between Imanaga, Boyd, and Cabrera for the series.

Zeferjahn pitched Friday, he and Civale would likely be a big IF needed case scenerio.

Per #Cubs� Craig Counsell, David Peterson will be moved to the bullpen for the time being as Edward Cabrera gets reinserted into the rotation.

Need at least 5 good ones out of Cabrera today, the bullpen isn't exactly fresh. itll basically be Thorton, Thielbar, Rolison, and Webb today. Bats gotta get 5+ today more than likely

Yea I forgot about Garrett... My hope is that the money coming off the book with Imanaga(22), and Boyd(17) can be used towards bringing in someone like Skubal(I know Dodgers) or whomever will be available in that tier of pitching under him. Hopefully Steele returns in September and has a few good outings and no setback, if so, he should have a normal offseason and be ready to go whenever ST starts. Horton is definitely out for next season, only hope for him is like Steele this season, he can be ready to give them a few games in August/September. Hopefully they can bring Holmes back on an extension, and work out a deal with Gausman.. If the above happens, then the rotation next season should be pretty solid. TOR addition, Steele, Holmes, Gausman, Cabrera Brown, Assad, Wiggins, and Garrett as Depth

They definitely need to start working on an extension with Holmes. Gausman will depend on how he finishes and yes, as you say, the numbers Hopefully Hoyer will be aggressive in trying to add one of the top available SP that are or could be available if opt out.

Let's pretend we have a normal offseason and they start the season on time, what are they realistically looking at for a rotation right now with all 5 current SP may become FA at end of season. Imanaga FA Boyd Mutual Option Gausman FA Holmes Player Option Peterson FA Rea Team Option Cabrera ARB 3 Assad ARB 2 Brown ARB Steele should be ready OD, 1 yr left Wiggins will likely start in Iowa Horton wont be ready til likely August Might be looking at adding 2-3 new SP if they cant bring anyone back Cabrera, Steele, Brown, Assad ???

Definitely be seeing 3 guys moved soon with Cabrera, Milner, and Palencia due back. Possibly seeing someone going on IL, likely candidates for that and to be DFA are Rea, Thielbar, and will be interesting to see what they do with Peterson.

Yea , I was surprised to see that game was on Netflix, that was pretty dumb. Something like that would of attracted more viewers but instead probably lost alot cause of people without Netflix
