I dont feel Shaw will ever be that good of a hitter to become an everyday guy. I liked the idea of him off the bench for the infield, but he's being used mainly for the OF now. Maybe if Suzuki is ready to go everyday now, theyll keep him in RF and DH Shaw against Lefties over Ballesteros. Shaw reminds me of a Bote, I think Hoyer is looking to get from him what he was hoping for with Bote. Flexible in the field, with a good bat and some power

Imagine with all the money Hoyer pumped out over the offseason for Bregman, extensions, and trading the top prospect for Cabrera and they miss out on the playoffs. WTF do they do in an offseason that completely unknown on how to approach because of the CBA and possibly late start to season

The way they were talking during ST like he was way ahead of schedule, I thought it was gonna be by end of April, beginning of May, but they keep reporting late May/June. 🤷

Shaw cant be an OF liability and be an ehhh hitter, especially against lefties. Might need to consider trading him sooner rather than later and giving guys like Long, Murray, or whomever an opportunity.

Im just spitballing names, bottom line is that they may need to readjust the bench a bit.

This is gonna be a rough 2 week stretch, theyre gonna face big lineups, and if the pitching not on, the struggling bats are gonna bury them.

That my point, if he not even a RH option to play first, then theres no point of having him on the roster. Until these RH bats start doing something, they need to find an alternative for PCA and Busch, kinda hard to bury them in lineup if noone hitting. Maybe bring Long up to replace Kingery
