  1. Missed 24hr cutoff. Bronx is on the clock...
  2. I say yes, he can be. The only problem is he plays for an offense that was 26th in rushing. Now whether that was Dunn's fault or the O-line, it's hard to say but until Matt Ryan can prove he can throw the football, defenses will be stacking the line against the run on the Falcons.
  3. ...to CBS Database. Once these players are off waivers, the teams that just drafted these players will need to make room for them on their minor league roster. I will go through the players being added and list them here, along with the team that drafted them, so that you know you need to make a roster move. For example....one of my picks, Neftali Feliz, is being added to the database. I will need to release a current player on my minor league roster and add Feliz or just release my rights to Feliz.
  4. Missed 24hr cutoff. Slante on the clock...
  5. ...in order to save his job once new ownership comes in.
  6. Mulder is done. Time to get back with Scully. 8-[
  7. Congratulations Cub fans! Nice trade by Hendry, especially to also receive Gaudin for what the Cubs gave up.
  8. Marte is terrible in pressure situations and was a mess for the White Sox in August and September in 2005. Games 23 Innings 12.2 ERA 6.39 BB 10 KO 16 OPS allowed .880
  9. Hosak on the clock...
  10. The Cubs have been involved in a ticket scam before, maybe it's not Milwaukee's turn. ;)
  11. Gutless Choking Dogs on the clock...
  12. Hendry dropped the ball here. No way Milwaukee should have been able to outbid the Cubs with the deal they made. At least Hendry can make up for it by signing CC in the offseason.
  13. According to a recent ESPN Magazine interview with Mr. Darvish he loves the New England area. If Darvish ends up posting this year the fee will easily surpass $75M. If they wait a few years and Darvish remains healthy that number could swell to $90M. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/eticket/story?page=darvish
  14. The Cubs final 19 games of 2008: @ St. Louis (3) @ Houston (3) vs. Milwaukee (3) vs. St. Louis (3) @ NY Mets (4) @ Milwaukee (3) That could be one hell of an exciting three week stretch to end the season. The Cubs will certainly have to start stepping it up on the road.
  15. http://img394.imageshack.us/img394/1158/capt39d85d4beea84407a6asb1.jpg Lou, Lou...skip to my Lou...skip to the Lou my darling
  16. Get used to it. The Rays are going to be around awhile.
  17. Buckner Hits a Double on the clock...
  18. Missed 24hr cutoff. BronxDSB selects Kevin Pucetas, P, San Francisco White Soxoholics select Wilmer Flores, SS, NY Mets Ocho Loco on the clock...
  19. A resounding "NO".
  20. Milwaukee would be taking a much bigger risk than the Cubs. Milwaukee will probably not resign Sheets and I don't think they spend the money necessary to get Sabathia long term. The Cubs have shown they will spend the big bucks on marque players while the Brewers don't have that history. They will not get a bargain basement deal for Sabathia like they got with Braun.
  21. This then becomes a no-brainer. You trade away 3 top prospects to get Sabathia. I would hand the NL pennant over to the Cubs now if this happened. Then you either lose Sabathia after the season and have 3 1st round picks in 2009 to replenish the prospects you lost or you sign Sabathia to a long term contract and have arguably the best 1-2 punch in baseball for the next four seasons.
  22. It's currently believed that the Brew Crew are the front runners for Sabathia and they have the prospects to outbid the Cubs, IMO. http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=767719 I think Sabathia will cost the Cubs at least Pie and Gallagher, maybe a Colvin.
  23. You forgot your wink to show, "look I'm a good guy and not trolling at all!!" Tell me how my statement is trolling? First, this is a post about Sox fans....second, before last night's game, had the Cubs not lost 8 of 12? As for the clapping hands my mouse must have slipped.
