Hey guys...somehow I am still connected to my old team. I received an e-mail saying it was my pick. Could someone please remove me as an owner on CBS to "Hips Don't Lie"? Thanks.
I am going to have to stand down from running Team Bazinga. I just don't have the time anymore between my new responsibilities at work and being back in school to keep up as much as I would like. It's also not fair to the rest of the league if I'm only half assing it as I did this past season. Thanks guys, it's been fun.
The problem is we knew those guys were available before the draft. This is someone becoming available in the middle. Tanaka, Abreu & Guerrero are guys who fall into the above ruling. I agree.
He had been in the minors when he received his 50 game suspension and finished the season there. If he breaks with the team out of spring training I'll lose him but I'm willing to take the risk. Ah, this is the discussion we were having in the other thread. I guess it is relevant this year. This was the rule I thought applied too, but there seems to be some disagreement. This is how I remember it working last season.

Apparently no one else wanted him at the time either as he sat on the open market for 2 weeks before I picked him back up. Roady was the only one who asked. I got two picks for two players I would otherwise had gotten nothing for.
he was just the main piece in your Felix Hernandez trade (you dropped Eddie Butler), and had 10 starts since (2.27 ERA and 8 of which he went 7+ IP), so we can be forgiven for being able to make no sense of your valuations unless you expect Jake Odorizzi to be a Cy Young Candidate, and/or Cespedes to completely hulk out i guess Trading for Scherzer let me re-evaluate Cain. I also picked Eddie Butler back up before the season ended. I also have Wacha, Gio Gonzalez and Hector Santiago, so my starters are in good shape despite trading Cain.
After acquiring Scherzer, I could not keep Cain under my cap. I also see Cain on the decline. He has been a work horse having over 30 starts in eight consecutive seasons with no season under 184 innings. Since I've had Beachy he has spent more time on the DL than on the roster. With only 111 innings in two seasons he wasn't worth keeper status to me. There were other pitchers on my roster worth keeping. I may have sold a little short only getting a 6th round MLB pick and 3rd round MiLB pick but in a 10 round draft where I already had three 8th round picks I could afford to give one up. Also, I'll have a couple empty minor league spots to fill and having given up my #1 MiLB pick in trade.
