  1. Starting with his 2-HR game vs LAD he's hit 400 with a 92 EV, 50% hard-hit, and 26% barrel rate. 20 degree launch angle. 58% flyball rate. Basically hitting like an Aaron Judge who never walks.
  2. That was pretty crappy contact by Shaw on 2 of those hits. I think once we start seeing some consistent oppo power, then we can assume the mechanics are where they need to be. That's his bread and butter and we haven't seen much of it at all.
  3. The whiffs drop off precipitously for Palencia at the ML level. He needs to sharpen his secondary stuff.
  4. PCA's quality of contact is the 2nd biggest shock of the season after Kelly. I mean he got so unlucky against the Phillies. He was hitting rockets. That HR tonight looked a bit faster than 107 too.
  5. I went through the list of 4-HR games and interestingly, Scooter Gennett does not hold the record for fewest career HRs among the players with 4-HR games. He hit 87 and Pat Seerey hit 86.
  6. Defense needs to get back on track, too many costly blunders. The horsefeathers bullpen is assured to walk about half of the hitters they face so let's not keep allowing more free bases. Nico and Dansby need to get it together. The offense only scored 9 runs against the Phillies. That was hopefully a small blip. I can't be the only one feeling like they will play to the level of their compeition.
  7. Just playing Brick House on a constant loop
  8. I imagine Chubb would be like 1/6-8 with incentives
  9. Speaking of Pirates pitching, are they gonna call up Chandler against us lol
  10. It has to be the Bears and the idea has been on my mind for a few weeks now. He is absolutely worth the risk IMO. They aren't strapped for cap and none of the backs on the squad inspire much confidence as pure running backs, although it is a position where unlikely players make names for theirselves quite often.
  11. According to RAS, Poles walked out of the room before they made that Monangai pick
  12. Did Burden get DJ'd last season? Yardage cut in half, YPC down 30%.
  13. I cannot see the Cubs promoting him and giving him Turner's 10 ABs a week but what he is doing is insane and I'm really curious if there were indeed 15 players that had better weeks.
  14. I really don't think it's Javy and it's because of the cleats.
  15. Yeah, am I looking at a different pitch plot? He maybe got pinched on 2 pitches. The rest were scattershot non-competive garbage. So exhausting how many non-competitve walks our bullpen hands out.
  16. I think Dansby needs to consider closing his stance. I see a guy who has a really hard time maintaining balance. When he lifts his foot and brings it back down, it ends in almost the same place it started in. Most guys with an open stance, when they begin their swing, they essentially end up in a closed position. Dansby is ending up with his foot toward 3rd base still and (although he can't hit horsefeathers anything right now) he is extremely succeptible to the outside pitch, he's giving away a lot of power, and has no base to work from to make adjustments as the pitch comes in.
  17. You would never know that Nola is struggling this year
  18. Damn that ball was so far below the zone too. His swing is so geared for lift.
