  1. That's cool
  2. Jacob Wilson is the most fascinating hitter in the league. He is basically hitting 400/450/600 over the last month and has not compromised his approach at all. Really in a league of his own.
  3. Arizona... unfathomable comebacks... I'd rather not speak on that
  4. What a shame the cameras didn't pick that up
  5. We have a nice cache of ammo.
  6. I'd be ok with kind of a future Seattle rotation. Let's see what kind of velocity gains they make over time.
  7. Pomeranz was an insanely shrewd pickup. Great job by the scouts. Jed's pen construction is confounding and frustrating but he has a pretty versatile pen now. I wonder if Craig tries to ride him for 2 innings.
  8. Suddenly we are teeming with interesting arms lol
  9. Yeah. So far one of the best signings of the off-season across the league.
  10. I probably should have just said rest or reprieve. He's played every game and I had just read an article that said the team thinks he's been playing injured.
  11. Sounds like we got a good one. He should be promoted.
  12. Brewers pounded Abbott today. Maybe don't start lefties against them. They just took Luzardo from a 2.15 to a 3.58 and now they took Abbott from 1.58 to 2.18. They will be in the WC race. I hope they trade some decent prospects. But they're a machine and it's annoying. it doesn't matter if they constantly field a mediocre offense. They win a lot by their pitching infrastructure.
  13. I wouldn't be surprised to not see him this series. He could use a good reset, get back to the pulled-flyball machine he has been, hopefully.
  14. Brown was really good as a starter last year. He pitched 40 innings of a 3.3 ERA, allowing just 4 HR. Obviously they'd like to have him in the rotation and they're gonna give him a bit of leash to get right. It's also important to note that his FIP this year as a SP is 3.4., so they possibly believe that it his true talent. I think a lot of the ERA-FIP being so high is his fault and part of it may not be. It's weird to me that someone can throw such a devastating curve but they can't throw a change. It seems like the kick-change is pretty easy to throw from what I've heard pitchers say. I think he's tried to throw a circle-change at times and it grades horribly, as does the fastball. Let's see if he can round into form, but I believe he needs something else to keep hitters off the fastball.
  15. Tucker probably isn't playing. Interestingly, from a cursory look, Gore's batted ball rates have trended the wrong way this year, but he's getting far more chase and whiffs. Stuff+ says he's a little above average but only due to his 4s and cutter. His offspeed pitches are meh. Apparently he just started throwing the cutter and it's been a very good pitch so far,
  16. All they need is to scrape a couple across against those pitchers and get to the pen by the 6th. They have absolutely slaughtered bullpens this year.
  17. It's absolutely insane that 5 of our regulars have a 140+. Happ needs to find his power, he has a pathetic .100 ISO. Maybe swap him and Nico in the order, He needs to regain his run-producing mindset. He is barely playing at a 1 fwar pace.
  18. Despite the glorious Cubs win yesterday, TJ Friedl wins the player of the day. https://www.mlb.com/news/reds-win-even-series-vs-brewers
