  1. So weird, hadn't even looked at that. Now I'm gonna wish for their failure every day. I just read an article on how the Tigers are the best team in baseball since they dealt Flaherty, so, hey Toronto, follow the trend.
  2. I'd be very interested in Gausman. He's an absolute horse. Never misses a start, doesn't walk anyone, dong suppression. His K% is significantly lower than his peak form but maybe he can recover some of that. TOR is going nowhere and should move him.
  3. Speaking of Gausman, I'd have some interest. I imagine he'll be available. TOR is going nowhere and he'll be at that 1.5 years of control marker which usually brings the best return.
  4. Still only the 2nd weirdest looking thing in the pic.
  5. It looks like we've solidified 3B and have done so with a dynamic player that will be on base a lot, brings even more speed to the team, and should hit for above average power. And now he's playing outstanding defense as well.
  6. Damn Nico dont even think about swinging, he had a massive jump
  7. This will be a nice feather in the cap of the interim guy if they manage to win this series. They have absolutely handcuffed our offense. We look like we didn't study the pitching and aren't adapting to the conditions at all.
  8. Not sure when I last saw a Cubs Catcher with a pop and transfer like that. That was great.
  9. It's pretty insane that Martin has only allowed 5 hits in 22 IP. What kind of stuff are we talking about here? Depperman has allowed 2 ER in 42 IP since the beginning of 2024. 0 HR. This dude must have some serious stuff, hard to barrel. Cristian needs to get the ball off the ground. His profile at present is unexciting/milquetoast. He just doesn't lift the ball consistently. The KBB is blah. Hope he picks it up, but his batted profile hasn't changed much in the last few years. He might need an overhaul. Rojas seems to be a perfect complementary piece in a trade. He should be in AA soon at 20 years old. That's worth its weight in gold for SS/MIF. High potential. Gallagher is firmly on the radar. Looks like a quick riser.
  10. This much power? No. However, you didn't touch on flyball rate. His FB% in 2023 was 50%, 55 in AA. The potential for power was there, but there was still a lot of bad contact mixed in there. Really high IFFB%, swing speed and EV were kind of meh in 2024. But he's extremely gifted at keeping the ball off the ground. I said several times i thought he would hit for considerably more power than what was expected, but i was a little concerned with the quality of contact. That has been the bigger surprise for me. His barrel% is insane. He really lives in that 104-107 band. I'd really like to know how he never got even a 70 on his speed.
  11. This guy has a 2.0 WHIP, get your horsefeathers together Cobs
  12. Striking out 20 and only allowing a deflected infield single and a HBP will always be the greatest game ever pitched. Sorry.
  13. Cruz broke his own statcast record for hardest hit HR. 122.9. It cleared the stadium into the river in like 2 seconds.
  14. Holy horsefeathers his last pitch was 102.6
  15. Sorry man I don't think he has any interest in developing a 3rd pitch.
  16. Pomeranz has been a freaking revelation. 2 years away from the MLB and he has a .55 WHIP and 10 K9. Massive boon to the pen.
  17. What a horsefeathers offense man. The catcher production has been ridiculous. Huge props to Pomeranz. Hoyer absolutely nailed that pickup. And Palencia got a lot of whiffs there in the 9th. Feels amazing to win that one too.
  18. He can't get through the 5th even in clean starts. This was monumentally stupid of Counsell to pitch him in this inning. What the horsefeathers man.
  19. Wicks will be in Japan in a couple years. It's nice to finally have some interesting homegrown arms and we can start to sort of bandy about some future rotations without laughing to death.
  20. He's allowed 5 hr in 9 starts. He doesn't have big velo and he's always racked up big K numbers. It's pretty clear his pitches are hard to pick up and the deception helps his stuff play up.
