  1. A major regression from Steele could be a critical hit. I need to see him carve them up and keep pace with Gallen, whom we struggle to touch.
  2. It's because he knows MIL will continue to be greater than the sum of their parts. They have similar philosophy, building teams with suffocating defense and athleticism, and they continue to churn out great pitching. The Craig Yoho guy has a changeup that drops more than Devin Williams', for example. If 2nd half Chourio is who they get moving forward, that's the type of player who basically wins your division for you every year. They have a better system than ours according to several publications, with multiple guys getting elite helium ATM. He knows the Brewers have reigned over the division more or less for the last 7 years. They are not going to be as easy to knock off as many expect. And if that have worse injury luck than the Brewers then they will probably find themselves fighting for a WC. Jed could have done way better this winter. Jumping the market to get Boyd still doesn't sit well with me. We could have taken his and Rea's money and gotten a real difference-maker.
  3. Yeah might want to do another
  4. If Tucker plays like he did in 2024 I'm pretty confident we will win the division.
  5. Vidal Brujan can't hit and he is also striking out at a crazy rate this spring. Let his ass go. Who cares.
  6. Did PCA just get hurt on that GIDP or was he pulled for playing time reasons?
  7. Saw the highlight and heard the fans booed for the rest of the game. Give me a break, there was no egregious contact, it was just terrible luck.
  8. He has allowed 5 ER in 11 IP FWIW, although his FIP is excellent. Brasier has also thrown 4 perfect innings.
  9. Workman is the only offseason acquisition to have a good spring
  10. That 2004 team not making the playoffs was just about as disastrous as not making the WS in 2003. It was right freaking there. That last week of the season was a nightmare.
  11. Apparently it has been a real battle getting rest for them since getting back to the US, and it's showed. The offense has been nonexistent.
  12. It's possible that Zavala was playing through the injury for a spell, right? Or was he 67 all season? That is an insane increase.
  13. Giddey's in-season turnaround has been otherworldly. I have to believe nobody has ever flipped a switch and went from a 54 TS to a 65 at the break. At least from a high usage player. If he's this guy moving forward that is a huge, huge win.
  14. Jed didn't do enough to follow up after that trade. He should have landed more elite talent and not interesting-characteristic guys. Being a bridesmaid for Scott and Bregman was so Jed.
  15. Dug a little more. Dodgers and Cubs wore those jerseys in 2011. Definitey Pena. Valbuena came in 2012.
  16. Dodger Stadium definitely has those yellow seats though. Kauffman doesn't.
  17. Is that the Royals they are facing? They only played them in ST in 2014. Definitely didn't wear throwbacks for that.
  18. It looks like that was 2014 and Pena played with us in 2011, but that looks like his follow through and bat drop. Maybe it's Coghlan?
  19. I think you're right. That's a BLAKATA
  20. If I have sluethed right they wore these 1937 jerseys on the road in 2014 so that is some loser placeholder Theo strung along.
  21. Player nursing an oblique injury in his MLB debut takes tentative swings, no way
  22. Speaking of oppo power, I just watched a highlight of a college kid going oppo 517 feet. 108 EV 35 LA. Crazy wind-aided but a very rare sight to see.
  23. Can't wait to hear Cubs fans when Rosario mashes his way to AAA while Morgan langusihes as the 8th guy
  24. Jared Jones reported elbow discomfort and will miss a start
