  1. Phils led 5-1 in the 4th and the Cards have crushed Nola for 5 runs
  2. If only Ethan Roberts could be half as dominant in MLB as he is in MiLB. He feels like a guy who will flourish in another organization for whatever reason. 45% K rate in frigging AAA. He should be a big leaguer.
  3. Since 2018 PCA ranks 25th among MLB OF in Fielding Run Value, a cumulative stat. Thats absolutely wild.
  4. In 16 IP Merryweather has 13:10 KBB. He looked like a solid asset after 2023 but the last 30 innings have been horrible and very much like they did in his BJ days. Sucks.
  5. I honestly thought the 8th was the 9th. I was busy putting the kids down and thought that was it lmao. I was like holy horsefeathers they completely folded, those ABs were awful. Then my dad blew me up and I swear I thought he was texting about a dream he had at first when he said Turner walked it off.
  6. 2 3-run dongs by Javy tonight including the walkoff. El Mago is hitting 320/360/510.
  7. So horsefeathers what. The pen is NOT good enough to sustain for 4 innings. Brown should go right up to that 100 mark every start if he's effective.
  8. Letting him face Sanchez was stupid, I have no words for this
  9. How much do you really think they have today? Alcantara can't hit anything but fastballs and rarely shows the ability to elevate them when he gets em. Caissie is a platoon hitter striking out an ungodly % of time and not finding enough power to offset it. One has already fallen off top lists and the other is hanging by a thread. They should have traded Alcantara last year or this winter. Now they might as well stick with him. Every org that has scouted him knows he can't hit breaking balls. They're both just not that good.
  10. So it was over his dead body, eh
  11. 6 everyday hitters are hitting above average and they have the best defense in the league which plays behind a pitch-to-contact staff that does not give up dongs
  12. I feel like a decisive PCA is a tick late in his swing and it's causing the big contact issues to pop up again. I'm just not sure you're ever going to see the patience and the production together.
  13. Miller was too damn good in MLB last year to give up after 8 appearances. They need strike throwers and he had a minuscule 5% BB rate in the majors last year. Plus a decent HR rate. Pearson would give up twice the homer rate. Pearson would be an obvious choice for me.
  14. I really appreciate that Pomeranz has come in and thrown strikes. He has been excellent. First MLB action in 3 years and he has a .5 WHIP. Thats pretty crazy.
  15. He had 2 swinging strikes in 4 BF, 21 pitches. Not exactly a rebuttal.
  16. I am blown away that the Tigers have carried over the late momentum they built last year. Tied for the best record in baseball and lead the league in RD.
