    It sounds like Caleb still has horrible ball placement. Understanding the playbook and all of the different ins and outs of the offense, obviously that's going to take time. But I hate hearing that he's still sailing passes, not even close on a wheel route. Johnson and Co. have their work cut out for them.

    Shaw's rebound has been really exciting but there is still plenty of cause for pause. His BABIP and EV scream a lot of luck. Now, his all-fields approach portends well to a high BABIP but not .480. And there has still been a fuckton of weak contact, as his EV is 84.5 since his return. Regardless, I believe he will end up at league average or better and he looks like the best glove at 3B without a shred of doubt. You have to love that he brings another versatile, fast, weapon to the offense. Taillon just gets sloppy/lazy. Too many pitches catch the heart and not enough live in the shadow, to the eye. I haven't looked at the maps. He just doesn't always seem dialed in. Seiya is avoiding the slump so far this year. He's been really consistent. If Gallagher has a couple more starts like that he'll join Wiggins in AA. He appears to hide the ball really well. His action is long and whippy, but the ball emerges out of nowhere from over-the-top. Rojas is friggin killing it. He needs a promotion.

    I'd be very interested in Gausman. He's an absolute horse. Never misses a start, doesn't walk anyone, dong suppression. His K% is significantly lower than his peak form but maybe he can recover some of that. TOR is going nowhere and should move him.

    Speaking of Gausman, I'd have some interest. I imagine he'll be available. TOR is going nowhere and he'll be at that 1.5 years of control marker which usually brings the best return.

    It looks like we've solidified 3B and have done so with a dynamic player that will be on base a lot, brings even more speed to the team, and should hit for above average power. And now he's playing outstanding defense as well.

    This will be a nice feather in the cap of the interim guy if they manage to win this series. They have absolutely handcuffed our offense. We look like we didn't study the pitching and aren't adapting to the conditions at all.
