  1. Dansby and Seiya are as fast as Nico, what?
  2. Yall think the 3 that Jawkins would like to hold onto the most are Caissie, Wiggins, and Rojas?
  3. Eovaldi, Morton. Trade Happ and Taillon and extend Tucker after the season.
  4. His bonus was probably 10x the amount she ever made or ever will make off that movie haha Is it even available to stream?
  5. We probably offered something like the Colt Keith contract and he wanted Jackson Merrill money. 20-30M?
  6. Jed's "lowball" offer is gonna cost the team about 200M. He's gonna need a Witt contract now.
  7. I can't believe PCA's 1st half stats. The dude has his 5th multi-homer game and he didn't hit one HR the first 2 weeks. It's insane. He really looks like he is going to win MVP.
  8. They scored 3 runs in 2 games, just let the people vent
  9. Dodgers all strike out in the 10th. Brewers move the runner and smack a GW single right away.
  10. You're not moving Swanson and it doesn't really make sense to move Nico IMO. Bird in the hand for me.
  11. Sorry but I don't even know why anyone would mention Skenes. He's in his 2nd year. The Pirates are not trading that dude to the horsefeathers Cubs. No way.
  12. God stop taking things as if I said anything bad about Happ. He's gonna be 31, declining in speed and athleticism, making 20 AAV, and we have internal options who deserve a real look. If you sign Tucker, he pretty clearly has to be the guy for me. Him and Taillon I would try to move.
  13. Alcantara and Rojas+ could net a pretty big fish. The Cubs are pretty entrenched in the IF as well. They're stuck with Swanson and probably like Nico too much to move. Rojas should carry a lot of value right now as a 20 y/o SS ready for AA.
  14. Said it in another thread, but I am not confident in this rotation pitching in the playoffs unless Imanaga gets back to last year's form. Even then it will be a new experience for him, though he has a lot of international exp from NPB and WBC. He would still make me nervous. They are going to need to add 2 guys and both should have vast postseason exp. I can see about half of our top 10 being moved. I'd also keep an eye on guys like Wicks, Little, Hodge as guys that can add value to a deal but will be sort of expendable depending on who they add. Eovaldi, Morton, Kelly, Gallen, are some of the names I can see us connected to.
  15. The rumors are from complete nobodies, I am not even sure why you care.
  16. He has a 327 wRC+ with a 13% K rate in July. Just go ahead and call him up for Happ, horsefeathers it.
  17. It's impossible for me to fathom that hitters have to discern which part of the baseball to hit that is flying at them at 98 MPH
  18. Among pitchers with 60+ IP Shota has the 17th lowest K rate, right there with Mikolas, Quintana, Martinez, and... Rea What the heck happened? He is still getting well above average chase, but hitters are making ocontact at a much higher rate. He's also way down on first pitch strikes and his zone% is up significantly. Contact is way up. Stuff and location are both up, although slightly. Just 15 Ks over his last 5 starts, 27 IP.
  19. Yeah they pretty much usurped our dynasty and we had to take drastic measures and hire a mercenary to possibly get the division back 6 years later
  20. Caissie didn't even look like he got that 1st one. That is a guy who will love LCF in Wrigley.
  21. Brewers rotation just went from a C to an A over the last few weeks and they just keep getting just enough offense. They should probably be pretty active at the deadline as well. This is gonna be a battle. We badly need 2 guys for the rotation. Shota keeps getting the job done but hes basically been a contact manager. I would not feel that confident with him in a playoff game TBH. That goes for Taillon as well as Horton.
  22. The belief is everybody is in a holding pattern through the deadline actually. It appears that might be the case. Rojas is definitely deserving of a promotion. I think teams are going to be all over him. I'm starting to think him and Alcantara are likely to go, possibly Gallagher as well. Jed can only have so many names on the off-limits list. It makes sense to put Caissie on that list, possibly Wiggins, but he will have to acquiesce to a certain extent to get what is needed.
