Did Pete think they didnt throw down to 2nd or did he think he was sliding into home? That was probably the grossest overslide ever. He almost reached the grass. And he was safe by a mile.
It's amazing how we needed a 3B and some good pitching and we got that after the deadline and the rest of the lineup (pretty much) fell off a damn cliff simultaneously.
They'd have to make contact but I wish we would hire Jim Edmonds to teach these LHB how to slug to the opposite field. They are getting buried under pitches on the outer half and have no idea what to do with them.
