  1. I read an article speculating that Kenley might be available on the wire soon. I dont think he'd make it to us, but if he did, I hope we would pick him up.
  2. That was 105+ im pretty sure. That was a laser. He's oozing tools.
  3. When Seiya swings at the first pitch he is batting 221/281/419. When he takes the first pitch he is batting 249/327/490. Seiya is too passive in the shadows. That's tough to criticize, right? Like we want our guys to not chase and create bad outs. However, the umps have not given him the benefit of the doubt for 3 years so he needs to be mindful of that and protect more IMO. Thats my biggest complaint. But right now he is just not dictating ABs. Not many of our guys are. They are falling behind and hitting defensively.
  4. Every single year Jeds offenses forget how to hit for like a 2 month stretch. It doesn't feel like they are going to snap out of this. The SP have to carry us to the promised land.
  5. Jaylon totally sandbagged the preseason. Hope he kept in football shape. Ironic how he chirped about his contract and then went down with a soft tissue injury for exactly the entirety of the preseason.
  6. Do you subscribe to expected stats? Seiya had 2 or 3 balls die at the warning track due to wind last week. So the process says keep doing what you're doing and the fortune will flip. The Cubs clearly believe hes run into some bad luck.
  7. Regrettably we should be pulling for these guys to finish 3/4. A year of service time is a pretty big deal.
  8. There was plenty to complain about, being that the Brewers won 75% of their games for 2 months and the Cubs have the 2nd worst offense in MLB in the 2nd half, making it easier for the Brewers to surpass them. I mean hey, pat yourself on the back for remaining stoic and not having a public meltdown if you wish, but there were plenty of valid reasons for fans to get upset and lose hope. I think only a small, small group actually said they believed the Cubs would miss the playoffs, however. The reactions were pretty normal, I bet, if you compare fan bases around the league at large.
  9. It was inevitable but Raleigh hit 2 hr so far today. New record for catchers.
  10. For sure. To be a 23 year old rookie pulling this off is astounding.
  11. Horton's run topped Jake's 2015 and Lesters 2016 https://x.com/WatchMarquee/status/1959469051379662909?t=esqK3L1QKEgmRE1SQJBGYw&s=19
  12. Cade is going all Arrieta on us. This is one impressive run he is on.
  13. Game rained out. What the horsefeathers. Kepley looks like the future leadoff hitter. 2 more walks and his 9th steal already.
  14. Theyre gonna learn not to play Kepley so shallow. He's got some pop for sure.
  15. Just watched the highlights and Bagents gw td pass was pretty sick
  16. Man we need those guys to wake up. All of our big bats are teetering on the 800 line. The slump has gone on enough.
  17. Bagent
  18. I was asking if Paredes and Smith+ would have landed Crochet. And if we had kept Bellinger and not traded for Tucker, he only cost 10m more than Tucker.
  19. Would Paredes and Smith+ have opened the door for Crochet? Something to consider.
  20. They need to win the majority of the division games for sure to have any shot.
  21. O's have pounced and locked up Basallo for 8/65 with an option. With escalators it would max at 88m.
