  1. Not for the players, especially the pitchers.
  2. A few seasons ago he was about average in oswing and had a decent walk rate, but hasn't been back at that level since. The thing is though, his offense has been basically metronomic regardless. He's a slightly above average hitter and pretty much is who he is at this point.
  3. Are we working on an extension for Boyd in the winter?
  4. Every team is "dragging this out"
  5. I don't look at Morton as an innings-eating BORP. He's pitched 80 postseason innings and has a 3.6 ERA and FIP. He's been a 3.0/3.3 guy since 4/29. He's pretty much a must-get IMO. I don't necessarily agree that we need to add a controlled SP, TBH. I'd be totally happy getting Morton and Kelly and addressing the rotation in the winter. Honestly I've come around to wanting Caissie around if they can't keep Tucker. It won't happen but i'd be fine renting. Please don't bother with Alcantara this season, either. He's been way too awful to take a chance on this season.
  6. I'm assuming a PCA-Tucker led team probably maxes out our payroll for the next decade so we will be happy to plug some holes with this college class relatively quickly and cheaply. That's what I am sticking to. It is the most boring draft I can recall us having.
  7. I think he got shook a little when Donovan took him deep. Then things sort of unraveled and suddenly the game was more-or-less on the line and he made a terrible pitch to Pozo. Making good pitches to Aaron Judge is the hardest thing to do in baseball. Good thing it was a 5-run lead. Not worried.
  8. I have no earthly idea how we are not connected to Suarez in every blurb. I know we need pitching but he would be a really impactful.
  9. Andrew Vaughn with a game tying double and theres nobody out. Bang up job, Finnegan.
  10. 6 in the first AB alone but 3 straight first pitch outs since.
  11. Hats off to you, Mr. Boyd. I hope you are permitted to finish the job.
  12. Raleigh with 2 more, setting a new AL record for HR before the break at 38.
  13. 10 hits allowed by Wicks in 3 innings of garbage time lol
  14. Hanging onto the division lead by a thread, sure. But there are still only 2 teams with more wins than the Cubs. They have to figure out this LH thing though. Over night they just stopped being anywhere close to competent vs them.
  15. And the Brewers just smacked the Nats for 6 runs. Fun.
  16. Wicks is gonna get traded for some hopeful rp reclamation project at the deadline.
